Cheers Josh, AKCJ Seems I was a bit wide of the mark on the ones to watch this week then. I was basing it on the reports I'd read of the first two games of the season, but should have really taken last seasons performances into consideration. Wasn't as clear as I'd have liked with that on re-reading. I was meaning you've been restricted in how much you can spend rather than you've been forced to sell players you didn't want to.
You'd imagine at home espeically that Knockaert will play, not that I watch a lot of Lesta but Knockaert really impressed me last season and is a clear talent. Someone that I think our defence will really struggle to handle and if he does play in the central role might even be man-marked by either Green or Austin which could take him out of the game somewhat.
Usually when he's man marked it's like we're playing against 10 men. You'll probably need to put both on him to have any desired effect. The best way to play Knockaert is to leave him and stop the service to him. But often he gets the ball and goes on skill runs that go nowhere or tries ridiculous shots (some of which do come off though).
Alright lads. Shame that Byram could be out til around Christmas. He really impressed me last season I fancy us to win this one but it wont be easy. As already mentioned our ones to watch arent really our biggest threats Chris Wood hasnt started the season very well but he is always a danger Matty James and Andy King ended last season superbly and both are able to defend and score goals Wes Morgan is as solid as ever and the best defender in the league last season Knockaert will more then likely be on the bench and come on for about the last 30 mins which is something he is very effective at when he did it last season. Ignasi Miquel could start if we get clearance in time in the place of Zak Whitbread who came off on a stretcher last week with concussion
I thought we would struggle against Brighton and was pleasantly surprised that we managed to take all three points. However.... I see Brighton lost at home today and they also got beat by Newport in the cup so it would suggest Brighton haven't got their act together this season. Once again I can't see Leeds winning this one, with Leicester being among the favourites for a top 6 spot it will be a good test to see how near or how far away we are. I have a feeling we are further away than we would like to be and head ruling heart I can see us going down 3-1 - I just hope I am wrong like I was last week.
Worth noting for this one that despite claims of how amazing schmeichel is, we've scored past him every game since getting rid.
You have scored some absolute belters against him though. That Cayton goal was the best I saw against us that season.

Pelts cannot be happy not having the Captains armband especially against his former club. Bit of a kick in the teeth. Wonder if anything is going on behind the scenes or whether McDermott does not see Pelts at ER long term?
I just think he doesn't see him as a regular starter when we have Byram back as well to be honest ell
I would rather have Pelts, then have Pearce at CB. It must mean we are going to sign a good cb then!!!
Sky has us lined up in a 4-4-2, Green right, McCormack left and Varney/Hunt up top. If thats how we start, I'll be expecting Hunt / McCormack to swap quite a lot
