You don't seem very knowledgeable about business. The employer would lay themselves wide open to a disciplinary tribunal for unfair dismissal.
You cannot be sacked for telling the truth, as long as you can prove it's true. In Thompson's case, he'd have a good case of unfair dismissal if he'd told the truth and got sacked, and he currently could make a case for bullying. You cannot write into a contract a clause that is illegal. There's case law on such things but I forget the specific details.
So if there was such an agreement in place then if I was asked a question about redundancies, rather than your suggestion, I would say "I am not allowed to discuss it" or "no comment". If I was an employee and an employer asked me to sign a confidentiality agreement I may be able to refuse as it could be an unreasonable variation in my contract.
Did Nick Thompson have a 'no comment' option, given he was wheeled out to answer that specific question?
Not if an employer wanted me to lie. I have principles. I am pretty certain I have a much more responsible role than you given your propensity for snide remarks when you have shown you don't understand employment law.
I didn't compare the Allams to a bunch of crooks so you are wrong there. One trick pony is descriptive - it means they have done one thing successfully but I don't think they wouldn't be successful at many other ventures. Saying "internet gobshite" is a pure gratuitous insult with no logic.
I just posted about this issue of the name change under the other post about Banner suggestions a few minutes ago. Maybe it should be here - it's too big to retype and I'm not sure how to copy it to this thread as well. Sorry. Edit Let me know if this ISN'T what you wanted. DMD
Here's a word from his charming daughter "Well Hull City Tigers is trending, funny how everyone is slagging it off though, didn't realise most people own/mange or direct a Premier League Football Club, if anyone's got any issues I'll be more than happy to forward them onto my Dad as he's the guy with the job that every man would kill for, he's not sat scratching his arse about something that most degenerates have zero clue about! RANT DONE!"
Has she blocked her twitter account? I saw that comment but I couldn't see if she'd said anything else.
Dunno. Don't do Twitter. Can't rubbish someone cos of their offspring's gobshitedness, but she needs to put a sock in it. Degenerates like me pay her daddy's wages.
Maybe she shut down her Twitter a/c to avoid the question: "Is your dad a liar, or are his employers not telling him the truth about the name change?"
Clearly you don't have a clue. I've signed the Official Secrets Act which is the daddy of all confidentiality agreements.
