As I said I know that's the plan and that's the part I'm happy to protest about.

Success and failure depend on what the real initial goals are. I'm not convinced it's anything much to do with the global brand. For all City's website shows a potential 900 million customers in Asia, I suspect the global reach of football's just coming home to our chairman.

AA knows how to make money.. he knows far more about making money than I do.
I reckon that he knows a hell of a lot more than you lot.
renaming the club may make financial sense.
but being emotive isn't the way to win an argument.

he doesnt need to know anything about football.............. if he did, why bother employing SB?

as long as he makes more money for SB to spend on players, who cares how it is made?

The club in the Premier League will still be called "Hull City" but the marketing will be "Hull Tigers" which is against all marketing logic.

    The marketing argument is baloney.
Any acceptance of a partial name change is also baloney.
To roll with this is to accept the lies and insultingly thin subterfuge as an a decent and appropriate way to deal with people who support your football club.
This has nothing to do with marketing advantage, it has everything to do with a very arrogant old man imposing his will on,others, for no other reason than he can.
Just like the stadium debacle, there are reasonable arguments on both sides, but neither issue is about reasonable or reasoned argument, it is all about the power trip of Assem Allam, as I believe he is over-ruling all others. All of his arguments are an insult to common sense.

Totally agree with this. I understood the issues from both sides regarding the stadium but Allam never seemed to say anything logical.

I do believe this too, I do believe that Nick Thompson did believe that (at the time of the interview) he wasn't briefed fully as to what AA planned (are you lot still gonna refer to him as papa?)
