I can't see anything other than a heavy defeat here. I'm going to go for 3-1 to Citeh.... but hope we can turn in a decent performance.

 

Would love to think we'd get something out of it, but I'm afraid I can't see it.

 

my sentiments exactly. I'm just hoping on hope that the boys put on a show. Hopefully the new signings for City will take a while to gel properly... which may work in our favour.

Heavy loss unfortunately

 

Much thought has gone into this and I'll be staggered if I'm not correct.

I'll keep my reasoning for this prediction to myself, however all will be revealed on Monday night in Fenwicks window.

 

I think we'll put out the wrong side, with the wrong tactics, and be beaten as a consequence, without really trying for a result.

2-0 Citeh, though we'll all be bemoaning the fact we could have done more.

 

I don't want to see your arse in Fenwicks window again, once was more than enough.

 

Moaning is something we've become good at.

 

Lets face it we've always been near the top end of the league in this discipline.

 

Got to be good at something.

 

Going for a 1-1 with us scoring first and them scoring in the last 15 minutes

 

If we can counter attack well enough, we may have a good chance. We're playing them at the best time.

But I see us losing. 3-1 to City.

Depends as ever what newcastle turn up
If its the side that took the game to City and showed real pride in the shirt at St James Pk last season where I thought the 1-3 score line was incredibly harsh then we could well have a real game on our hands
If its the side that lay down meekly at the Etihad then a hiding is on the cards

Probably as good a time to come to City as you would wish for with new manager and 4 new players to find their feet,key players injured in Aguero & Nastasic and a preseason where we've leaked goals in nearly all the games
The Spanish players are away in Ecuador midweek which is hardly ideal preparation but I expect Pellegrini to have a team with enough to beat Newcastle
