Sess doesn't even turn up for half a season anyway so I would sell him & take a gamble on Insigne. it all comes down to money anyway.
I agree mate but if we do sell sess then a player must be close to signing. we just have to wait & see on this one.
I really can't see this one happening lads. There's no mention of a club, no fee, no quote from anybody at all... We are much too close to the start of the season to let people go, unless we have already signed their replacement. With a net spend of about 59p I don't see us having any need to sell either.
Please tell me you are ****ing high. Sess has practically carried us for the last 2 seasons. He basically kept us up last season with his goals against Everton and the mags. (Yes I kno we won 3 0 but without his opener who knows what would have happened. In my opinion if we sell sess then this window has been a failure. We now have quality players around sess who is undoubtedly the heartbeat of our team lets not sell the vital cog in the engine lets let him show the world what he can do with quality around him.
I'm not high at all pal but please don't say he keep us up because the Mig & Danny Rose had better seasons than Sess. if you go over the course of the season sess only has about 9 good games. plus you say sess carried us but where did he carry us? no where in my opinion. How can you say this window will be a failure if we sell sess? maybe we sign a better player who knows.
I was expecting to this in the sunday tabloids this morning, cant see it anywhere??? Journo's were all over it yesterday. One great big whoosh??
here is a question for you guys. Sess came out and said he was happy to stay, likes Sunderland, bought into PDC methods blah blah blah.... Then soon after along comes an offer where I have no doubt he will get a stonking salary increase and will not pay any tax at all. The lad has no real emotional ties to Wearside, every season its.... will he stay... will he go..?? The question is....he you could earn more that 65k a week tax free at 29 years old...would you go? I wouldn't know how fast to dust down my passport
Even with my ties to Sunderland I'd **** off over there in a heartbeat if it meant a better life for me and my family. I admire those on here who talk about loyalty so passionately but I don't see why anyone should put a club or its fans above leaving a legacy for their family. A legacy of being a bit of a legend in the North East of England is pretty unlikely to serve any purpose for a family from Benin in years to come. If he stays... cracking. He's done well. If he leaves... Best of look to him, he's done well. I hope we replace him. I still think the original article has as much meaning as a magpie tattoo on Cests backside.
From roker report We told you earlier in the summer how Stephane Sessegnon was linked with a move to Chinese club Tianjin Teda before they ended their interest in the Benin international. Rumours have emerged from the French version of Eurosport that Sessegnon may be on the brink of joining Asamoah Gyan in the desert with a move to the Qatar Stars League. No other media outlet is reporting the story as yet and no club or fee have been mentioned, so this story should be taken with a pinch of salt but with reports all summer that Sunderland will listen to offers for the mercurial 29-year-old, such a move cannot be dismissed.
Whilst I would agree the Mig and Rose had better seasons than Sess a goalkeeper and full back can only do so much for you. Yeah they may save you a few points from keeping clean sheets but at the same time you need someone at the other end to put the ball in the net or lay on a goal for someone. The mig and rose were possibly involved in 2 or 3 goals last season and whilst there contribution was critical without Sess we would have still gone down.
Absolutely Sess run of goals kept us up. Danny's steady form all season did not win us games, nor did Mignolet's saves in games we lost or drew anyway. The only think that wins games is goals, second is assists. Sess & AJ kept us up, yet still beared the brunt from many.
Sorry, but Sess promises much but delivers just a fraction of what he is capable of and that is a crime. Shots on target and completed passes are pathetic for a player with his ability. Should we sell him.............no, do I want him to stay..............yes. But please temper your worship with facts.
Without Sess we are knackered, if he goes we need Mcmanaman and Milner just for starters, put Gerri where Sess plays, milner on the left wing, Mcmanaman in the middle Johnson on the right wing. then Karlson, and Cabral can be subs.
