    Most probably... would be excited about the latter.

    Bendtner no but wouldn't be surprised if we brought Livermore in on loan great little player.

    Also saw this on twitter:

    @Hull_City_News
    L'Equipe in France saying Morgan Amalfitano set to stay in France despite interest from WBA, make of that what you will #hcafc

    Might go some way as to explaining Brucey's trip to the continent.

    I would have Livermore on loan as well, he's a great player, but I don't think we're interested.

    That's all well and good, but we aren't going to improve our strength in depth by loaning out fringe players. The likes of Jakupovic and Bruce might not make the first XI, but they're necessary cover if injury strikes. If we let the players you mentioned go (just the loans), we'd have to buy replacements; a daft concept when you consider that Jakupovic, Townsend, Wilson and Bruce could probably do a short term job.

    SSN reporting we are preparing a £2m bid for Troy Deeney and looking to get Huddlestone and Livermore from Spurs.

    I disagree. Jakupović could quite easily go out on loan w/ a recall option. Bruce is a sixth choice centre-back and wouldn't even make the 18 man squad, hence you would require 2-3 injuries at CB for him to even be considered.

    As for the two youngsters, why holt their development of some of our best prospects by playing them in the reserves when they could be earning valuable experience in the lower leagues.

    I didn't mean strength in depth in regards to numbers, rather quality. If you look at our XI yesterday and then looked at our available bench there was only really Boyd who could potentially turn a game on it's head.

    Well they might go out on short term loans (the youngsters), but I think with the 25 man squad system we'll need a couple of youth players and at present Wilson and Townsend are the only 2 in the first team frame. It'd be great to see them develop more, but I honestly think we need to be blooding our youngsters in the PL, rather than just loaning them out to League 2 clubs.

    As we saw at Watford, you need 3 experienced goalkeepers, otherwise you could get caught short and I wouldn't want to chuck Cracknell in at the deep end. We already loaned out Oxley for a season (or was it six months?), so that's one first team goalkeeper gone. Quality costs money and we can only have 18 people in the squad; aside from Stewart and McLean (I'm getting a bit worried that he keeps playing in pre season), I think that'll be it for outgoings otherwise we'll have to start spending money to replace them.

    I think Bruce was trying to put McLean in the shop window a bit. Barnsley look like they could do with a McLean at the moment.

    We are apparently interested in Venezuelan CDM Tomás Rincón of Hamburger SV.

    It's not SSN, they're just quoting The People. It's just paper talk.

    Troy Deeney would be a great signing - plus he bagged a hat trick yesterday.

    Agreed, but his price will go way up now, Watford will try to play hard ball. Shame Vydra is out of our price range, he'd be a great signing.

    You think it'd be worth us putting a cheeky bid in for Gareth Barry? or will his wages be too much?
