    I don't get this bulking up malarky - Dyer, Pedro, Messi, and younger Benni and more never needed bulking up and just let their skill do all the talking or have I missed something?

    Dyer and Bellamy were a disgrace for all the talent they had. A better drug testing programme would have prevented this stuff. Unfortunately, its an area where football continues to bury its head deep in its own arse. Their response is they do more drug testing than any other sport but choose to ignore the fact its how you test rather than the numbers that is important. Barton said only last year he'd only ever bee urine tested in his career, its laughable really. I'm firmly in the camp that both PEDS and recreational drug use has gone relatively unchecked in football for a long long time.
