Here you go, Ak: "A hat-trick or hat trick in sport is the achievement of a positive feat three times or more during a game, or other achievements based on threes. The term was first used in 1858 in cricket to describe HH Stephenson's feat of taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. A collection was held for Stephenson, and he was presented with a hat bought with the proceeds."
I've got a 38, 35, 34,& 31 year old. Two oldest boys (oldest is a Hornet youngest a gooner) and two have birthdays on 17th & 25th August. Lot to be said about cold November nights
Following Hull's change of name to Hull City Tigers, Hollowhead has announced that for next season Palace are to be known as Crystal Palace Nil. (Shamelessly adapted from a comment on the Leicester board!)
Morning all, a very quiet Sunday morning here. For the past few weeks the farmers have been starting early and finishing very late to get the harvest in. Today I have not heard a single tractor or combine moving, so it seems that they must be on top of things now. It seems that Vydra has a voice of his own and not just his agents fantastic rambles. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...no-premier-league-bids-tabled-for-matej-vydra He must be wondering if he should have come back to Watford rather than be linked with just about every PL side in the country.
Don't know much about betting, but think this says we are favourites to win the Championship. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/winner Too many people putting their hard earned on after a 45 mins blitz?
If ever you needed proof that you should be at a game before going to print and not sit in the pub watching Sky sports news, this is a great example. http://uk.soccerway.com/news/2013/August/10/championship-wrap-watford-hit-for-six-qpr-held/? Do not believe everything you read.
mm....... I am not a betting man really... except for the lottery which since it started I have won 4 lots of £10 ... but seriously I would not want to make a sensible prediction until we are at least 10 games in.....
Reading next week then home to Forest, lets look at things in the cold light of day after those two. Yesterday was a fluke result based apon the whole 90 minutes being taken into account but boy was it exciting/enjoyable
Coventry won their first game at their 'new home' in Northampton - beat Bristol City 5-4 in front of 2204 fans. Probably a few less that they were hoping for..... A group of their 'fans' protested outside of the stadium, trying to get others to boycott the match - and then proceeded to watch the game for nothing from the top of a nearby hill. Makes you wonder about folk.....
Apparently it was named "Jimmy's Hill" for the day BB and there were more fans at The Photocopier stadium watching a "legends" game!
Evening all, thought I would pop in for an it's been a while since I have, so don't mind me whilst I sit quietly in the corner and sup my I will be quiet, just like our home fans it's good to be back
