Never understood the psychology of metal. Music is an expression of love, unless it's rap, then it's an expression of how I have more **** than you. But metal is just so aggressive, and yet, most metal heads, are often the most good natured and gentle people you can meet. Apart from Kyle, who is a complete cockwomble So I've never understood the reasons behind loud shouty music. I admit I've never listened to much of it, since I love a good melody and a story with good use of words and imagery.
Those two statements contradict each other because you're not listening to the right sort of rap music
"yo yo, my homies and blingin biatches are gonna take you ho's to town, and buy us some big watches" That sounds right to me.
I have never heard a metal song I like but then I like a lot of the early rap (Sugar house gang, Gary Byrd, grandmaster flash etc.) which weren't anything like some of the modern rap, so I wouldn't dream of saying metal is ****...just ain't my kind of ****! To be honest I like a lot of different styles of music...early rap, some stones, some motown, 70s/80s 2tone, stone roses and the rest of the manchester stuff in late 80s and early 90s....guess I'm a bit of a music whore
You mean the SugarHill gang ? and Stevie Wonder produced Gary Bryd not met too many who would cite him
I don't really like rap much, but when it's paired with my 2nd favourite band, i can cope
yep sugarhill gang I'm too old to be up this late! Gary Byrd's "the crown" featured stevie wonder...was about 10 minutes long ... truly great record
Ok I'm just going to throw them in now. This is for Kyle who thinks rap is only about bitches and hoes and noble who likes good imagery and a creative story.
