Why do they bother? Given the current situation, opposition fans and some of those little, wannabe rival clubs like Leeds and Leicester posting wind ups is more than understandable and expected. But, what is it with these posters that pretend to be what they're not? We're amongst the busiest boards, but I reckon we ban close to the least posters by number of the used boards. If people have a point, we're more than happy to let them voice it and PM people who are pushing it. So why do a few people need to go to some lengths to push it further? What's the point? Is it a badge of honour to be banned for being tedious?
People like Ableton, Rolling_Thunder, epic-cheese definitely did took the piss for the sake of it, them sort probably think it is a badge of honour...

Oh god no, that would be a puke inducing session, it'd be a vicious cycle, seeing myself put a big burger into my mouth would begin a cycle of me puking more and more of my guts until i end up all shrivelled up and then you would have a guilty conscious
I blocked one of them because a thread was just too stupid & lots of people were feeding them, but then checked a post on another thread which was actually quite well put, I think it was RT & someone had quoted them, so decided to unblock them & reply. Needless to say they didn't last much longer & were banned. Sometimes however I think a new poster can get a lot of abuse from some of the more "powerful" posters, just because they write something that is not agreeable with.
I do not think we actually get many trolls, just wind up merchants. This forums mods (even with their critics) do a good job and that is one reason why I post on here. That is the key, the mods.
I remember trolls back in the early days of nerdy gaming tinternet forums and i quickly learned never to bother with responding to trolls . They tend to never have an actual opinion , just fly in the face of anything said and not move with the flow of a thread/or take it in an abrupt direction. this very thread is an example of what trolling was back in the day when threads were growled at for going OT i guess but its quite the norm these days . Ive only really seen WUM used in football forums and i suppose its the same as the nickname Troll but troll is still geekspeek
Great so along with being rebranded we're turning into the rugby league club types that we sound like and banning anyone who doesn't agree with the majority under charge of bring a troll....
