I was not talking ****. I was just not prepared to believe rumours and speculation. That elements of that speculation appear to be partly true, great, well done, seriously, but I will not ever react in uproar to crap posted on the internet. All the way through this storm in a teacup I've said I do not believe that we will have a new badge/name for the team during our first PL season. That's it. People posted rumours and speculation, other people over reacted to it, I gave my opinion based on what I saw at the time. I stand by that stance too. If I'd said "I guarantee this will not happen, I give you my word, its a non starter, don't worry, honestly, no, not happening ever" then sure, pillory me, whatever, but I was simply not prepared to be led by the nose and over react to something I don't mind anyhow like lots of people seem to do on here. In the same way when it was claimed the Allams were only after making a fact buck, or when it was claimed Barmby was the victim and we'd hear his story soon enough, the crap over Nige, the crap over Adam, all of that bullshit, I prefer to wait for the facts to appear and THEN make a judgement. I'm sorry that seems really hard for some to understand.
let me know when you change it .. after all the team name will not change but if you change the business and marketing title then well done
How do YOU know it won't help generate more money? are you a fortune teller? are you a better business man than the Allams? No one will know unless it is tried. So this argument is completely void. Many brands have changed things about their names before, fonts, words, colours and so on... sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. But what you're advocating is doing nothing in fear of it not working.
It's sad when anybody thinks that being an employee is a good enough reason to lie. If I was employed and my employer told me to lie I would say: "No".
You just wait and see. You've been wrong all the time and I see you as being very consistent. The Allam's wont be happy and the next step is to send emails to the Premier League and Football Association. They won't want their "brands" tainted by this Mickey Mouse name.
You got it wrong. It shows you lack judgement. Now you are making out you didn't have an opinion before. Nick Thompson Mark II?
I have worked with hundreds of businesses. The vast majority have been a lot smaller than Hull City or Allam Marine but I have worked for massive organisations and I know that a Mickey Mouse name doesn't inspire respect. What it does result in is ridicule and embarrassment. I am pretty certain that if I started a business and asked Assem Allam to run it he would be a disaster. Have you heard of the expression "one-trick pony"?
How did the rebranding of Super league rugby clubs go at the time ? The traditions and History is longer and for many clubs greater than that of our football club , the clubs logos all look void of any sentiment , they are just garish symbols of their new nicknames Rugby league fans come across as a bit luddite , northern and "clubland" But they seem to have embraced this modernisation - though RL is on a downward spiral
I think I am better able to know that than you. I would answer the question without lying. It is sad that so many people think that lying is acceptable.
It's a pity that people like you are happy to throw insults around on the internet. It indicates a very weak individual.
You mean like comparing the Allams to a bunch of crooks and now a one trick pony? At least I'm directing them at people who'll see them.
I didn't compare them to a bunch of crooks. It's your comprehension that is faulty. Don't you think they are like a one trick pony? And you do it from the safety of your computer. I doubt you would talk like that face to face.
