The goals we conceded were so frustrating. Their 3rd was comical, Fox again was nowhere to be seen and Davis' positioning was just horrific. He's allergic to his near post. Ramirez was again anonymous, if he plays like that up until Christmas then we need to sell in January. He just doesn't look comfortable no matter where he's playing. Don't think Hooiveld + Dejan is a good pairing, they're both more aggressive 'lump' defenders and I think we need one of the more technical Yosh or Jose to compliment and cover the other. The Shaw injury topped it off, I think it's going to be a long while before we see him again sadly. Looked in real pain when he went off. Gutted for him and fearful for us now at left-back. On the bright side, Wanyama has completely won me over. He was majestic, once he commits to a tackle there's no way he's losing it. Him and Morgan are going to be an incredible CM pairing. Puncheon looked great when he came on too. And to the guys who have criticised Yoshida's passing on here in recent times should have seen some of his pinpoint Hollywood passes today - he's easily our most technically gifted CB. Rodriguez's direct running was also impressive, and he was so unlucky not to score.
Of course it's disappointing that Shaw's been injured, but why are we surprised? He's always been fragile, which is why I've been a little surprised that someone like Naughton hasn't been brought in. Perhaps this will change things, but I do worry a little that we may not be as fortunate this year injury-wise as last. The only area I think is pretty comfortably covered is in midfield....let's wait and see. Not being unnecessarily 'Barry' about it!

He does seem to pick up some injuries young Shaw......On the other hand he does seem up to now to recover quite quickly. Do you think it is naivety and lack of experience ? Or are you inclined to think he is just unlucky? Remember Clyne too picked up some knocks last season. I hear he is still injured as we speak any news on his progress or have I missed some news somewhere.
Pochettino expects Clyne to be back in training this week, but I doubt he'll be matchfit for Saturday
MP hopes Clyne will be back in training next week, but didn't sound certain he would be ready for WBA match. I wonder if Shaw is too enthusiastic...Bet Lambert wouldn't risk his big day by tackling hard.
It was £15 for us when NCFC played Real Sociedad last Tuesday, I didn't mind paying that as I don't normally get a chance to watch my team live. Attendance was 14,433. Good luck with your season
I agree...£18 if you bought it pre-match. I bet no on who went today thought they had wasted their money.
Aston Villa charged £10 for adults, got 24,000. See Benteke got his 6th pre-season goal too. Blimey.
