Because they quite rightly didn't expect a work permit to be granted. This bloke isn't even in the Colombian national squad as far as I can see. They have to get him in as 'a special talent who will enhance the English game'. I don't think we have a hope in hell.

 

You fail to see the brilliance of the plan - we drag hundreds of gritty old defensive midfielders out of retirement and then say this guy is a special talent that will improve the standard of football.

 

If you're right I hope we find out sooner rather than later so we can move on to our next target.
