Huddersfield could've nicked that, so I can't begrudge them the point too much. Granero isn't right for this level of football, he's a liability. A better central midfield and I think we'd have bossed that game
Disappointing resul realy as we never tried to go for the winner against an average team like Huddersfield. At times we showed our quality but never created enough chances to get the 3 points. I would like to see some more passion rather then just quality . Happy to be still one of the favorites in that division as one could clearly see we are a top team.
Missed opportunity there for us. We were all over them and disappointingly didn't make it pay. Thought JB looked good, and was much more effective when he moved into Granero's position. Poor game from Granero; Clint Hill was below standard too (we need another option at CB).
Just showed the goals on sky. Left their man free about 6 yards out to knock in easy chance. No protection for Green at all. Our goal was equally as sloppy.
It was. I think they'd be upset at letting Hoilett control and stab it in with so many defenders close by.
QPR 17 shots, 6 on target. Huddersfield 6 shots 2 on target. It sounds like their goalie played a worldy. We're 4th and unbeaten this season and getting a bit of stability that was sadly lacking for the past two seasons. Onwards and upwards, that was a good point today. We can't and won't win every game this season.
They played like the away team getting 8,9 &10 behind the ball which I am not surprised at because this is going to happen nearly every time we play this season. So it is imperative that we score first, however it wasn't a bad point won with all considered.
Too often we slowed the game down when we need movement upfront Strike partnership will gel I'm sure but our crossing has to improve - one decent cross = header onto bar by Austin However - not beaten yet and sometimes you just have to grind out the results
I thought Huddersfield were a pretty decent passing side by championship standards actually. We pressed them high during the first 30, yet they didn't crumble, and continued to stroke it about. Their 352 meant they outnumbered us in the middle I suppose, which was probably exacerbated by Granero's dalliances on the ball/lack of effective pressure or combativeness. Hill's looked a little shaky so far this season, i'd hope that Dunne will get up to speed soon. Austin was involved in a lot of our good play again, and he's only going to improve- considering his incomplete preseason. With luck, we'll have another striker and winger by the end of the week, which will give us a few more attacking options from the bench (at the moment it's only really SWP). Perhaps Arry will pick a less defensive midfield for Ipswich: my choice would be Jenas + Ali (assuming he's recovered from his 'injury').
Unbeaten in all competitions, AJ and Hoilett with monkeys of their back and 4th. After last two seasons, I am ok with that at this stage.
Just back from the match. Overall, a decent performance and a valuable point. Some good attacking play - Johnson and Austin could prove a good partnership if we start getting a few balls to feet. Frustrating performance from Hoilett. Lots of good wing play but lacked the decision making and final ball when it came to the crunch. Probably need to have a bit of competition for places in the wing positions. Perhaps we should have won but an encouraging performance and an away point. Fairly happy.
QPR FC ‏@OfficialQPR Bond on Faurlin: 'He picked up a thigh strain in training on Thursday. At this stage we’re hopeful he will be available for next weekend.”
I'm pleased to see us get a goal after going behind again. How many times would that have happened last season? Generally a goal against meant game over and another loss chalked up against the R's. Also as previously mentioned good to see hoillet get one, hopefully now they will flow. So far so good I say......
Yep happy with a point Huddersfield have been a decent side the last few years so a decent start......haven't seen any highlights yet and having had a few glasses of wine may not stay up to watch the FLS, however going to log on to the golf so may be around at 11:30 to watch..... Anyway onwards & upwards....watford look like the side to catch at the moment.....
