Our problem has been lack of goals. If we had had Darren Bent playing for us, his goals would have secured 2nd for us, behind United, this season. --- Are Defoe and Crouch not good then?
The stat show that if we had won all our games we would have finished as Champions, won the FA Cup, CC and Chamions League. But we didn't - so thats what stats prove
Unfortunately, neither Defoe nor Crouch are good enough to ensure that we finish consistently inside the top 4.
Reading the article Gallas isn't saying much tbh, Spurs DO have potential and as he pointed out what they need is consistency... as well as some new strikers... a bit of luck ... and there's your silverware. Easier said than done of course.
The stats show that had WE taken points of the relegation sides we would hve finished 1st by about 10 points.
What a dumb argument. What about all the other teams that dropped points against lower teams? If we had not done so, we would have won the world cup, champions league, premier title and Eurovision song contest! Typically deluded spuds
But the thing is, you've had goals in you; we haven't. The fact that your strikers took their chances means that you had a try, and simply were not up to the task. Our strikers' stats tell their own tragic story. They simply didn't take the chances they were given. Had we had any three other strikers (and I'm not talking world-class players), we would have put away more of those chances, especially against the lower sides. We played games this last season where we have peppered the opponent's goal, and still walked away with only a draw.
we would have put away more of those chances, especially against the lower sides. -- Consistency is the key to finish in top4 or win the league title, which is mid table teams are lacking.
