I wanted to buy seven tickets to see West Side Story at the Mayflower in April at £45 each. I went on line and they wanted almost three pounds per ticket as a booking fee. I went to the box office and got them and saved almost £24. You go when you are in the area on other matters and not just make a special trip.
Indeed. I would have probably paid it in the end since I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to see another game. But it turns out I can't go anyway. Building a fence for my sister....lucky me.
Saints Comms Officer just confirmed no pre-match interviews with Mauricio or players as they were off today and photoshoot yesterday took priority.
Ha! Says we will hear from them post-Sociedad though. Then obviously next week he is obliged to attend in line with PL regulations!
I'm up and about and excited about going to the game and especially looking forward to seeing Victor play. I hope Rickie gets a really warm welcome and is cheered on ahead of the England game. I'm also keen to see these young lads who have broken into the first team squad. I was interested to learn that Real Sociadad are from San Sebastion which is a lovely city just over the French border from Bayonne and deep in Basque country. San Sebastion is a lovely seaside city without any British holiday maker influence at all. With the popularity of all things Spanish at the moment and the speed with which clubs seem to be adopting new names (Hull City Tigers and Cardiff Dragons next) perhaps Reading FC should change their name to Real Readingas. Given that we have lost our stipes should we now be known as Puerto de Southampton?
Sadly other commitments mean I will miss the match.......although I know where I would rather be....but hey beggars can't be choosers!
I'm going and dragging a couple of mates along with me - I'm gonna force them to put saints shirts on if I can!
Saints have just announced that Adam Blackmore is going to be on SaintsPlayer providing live commentary. That's a result. It's not through Solent or anything, just Saints getting Adam in to commentate for those who can't make it.
I unsubscribed from SaintsPlayer because all of the Prem away games are streamed live. Videos etc are good but it's not quite worth the subscription just for a friendly if you just value the live experiences.
Predicted XI: Boruc, Clyne, Lovren, Yoshida, Shaw, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Ramirez, Lallana, Rodriguez, Lambert
If everyone in the midfield/attack performs, and we get an additional striker (Hi Pablo), that's a very good attack indeed.
