It doesn't have to be reserves, lfc can suspend him if they think his unprofessional behavior is disrupting the rest of the team.

It does, and being a business man he will look at the bigger picture. He will not only be weakening our chances of top 4 (where all the money's at), he will be strengthening yours. Selling to Arsenal creates a double problem rather than just one problem if selling abroad. At this late stage in the window, we will find it very hard to find a replacement and one we do find will be ridiculously overpriced because of the knowledge of us having loads of money. Also, he has taken the ill advised attempt to get Suarez on the cheap personally. There is no sense in selling Suarez to Arsenal unless the sum of money overrides all these factors. To be honest, I doubt Wenger is willing to pay our actual value at £55million, never mind the sum we would want to override the factors mentioned.

So they suspend him without pay on what grounds? Something they can't do.

Or they suspend him with pay? Again, something that is just going to cost you money needlessly.

Suspending him will be worse than sending to the reserves (which will never ever happen) because he won't be able to keep up his fitness, his price will drop by at least 50% and you end up coming away by breaking even on his transfer fee instead of doubling it 12 months earlier.

£45 million now - Pro's: You get to reinvest and improve the squad. Con's: You accept at least a 2 year set back in your deluded quest for European football (something that will never come to fruition).

    £20 million in 12 months - Pro's: None. Con's: Just about everything.

    Not rocket science is it?

A guardian article that has no quotes and refers to Suarez as "the Suarez camp"

Oh so its a fact? I understand.

The press, in particular the BBC, have been crap all the way through this.

£45million? <rofl> Wenger really has made you deluded. If we suspended him he would have to come to his senses quickly or his career prospects begin to go down. He's backed himself to a corner and Suarez would never let the suspension or time in the reserves to get so long that it begins damaging his career. By the way I don't expect any suspension/time in reserves to last a whole season, I would imagine BR would be willing to do it for a month or 2 though.

Or, he could look at the even bigger picture and realise that £45 million is the same amount that you would receive if you were to qualify for the Champions League. He can then take that money and reinvest in the team instead forking out of his own pocket all of the time.

That's bullshit too. Why are all these Scouser's saying there's not enough time to reinvest? Suarez has said he's wanted to leave since May, I find it hard to believe that in this day and age that targets hadn't been identified by scouts and Rodgers for when he does eventually leave. Even getting deals done won't be much of an issue because things speed up towards the end of the window. It's all nonsense.

There will be no suspension or relegation to the reserves. When will your thick brain realise it? ****ing hell, it's like talking to a spasticated brick wall.

There has been a lot of nonsense surrounding the whole transfer to be fair.

He's wanted to leave since May but as their has been no interest apart from 2 pathetic bids by a club it has been impossible for him to leave. Of course we must have identified targets in May, but as bids far below Suarez's value have come in, we haven't been able to sell and our targets may have gone to other clubs since then.

You don't think all of the potential possibilities were taken into account? Because if they weren't, as a fan I'd be looking to get a new manager in because that's just poor.

So what's the other option? Sell him to our rivals for miles under his true value? That seems to be your answer to everything, and it's a **** one.

    The hypocrisy. <laugh>

Where do you think Wenger will go to if he doesn't get Suarez? Oh yeah, that's right... you can win the title without new signings anyway. <laugh>

Suarez' true value is less than £40 million. It's ****ing obscene that your **** club is trying say his true value is comparable to the value of a superior player's buy out clause (Cavani).

    Plus, we're not rivals.

Everyone seems to have missed this. Liverpool haven't been competing with Arsenal for years both on and off the pitch. The only rivalry exists in their imagination.
