Old man Allam showed how little he understood about the sports in this city when he suggested the rugby teams be merged. He probably thinks this is a great idea and doesn't understand the feelings of local fans. I suspect that may be changing! Doesn't make a jot of difference to me, I'll still go to "city" matches!

I don't like being spoken to like a piece of ****e and that is exactly what Hull City Tigers has done, to me, as a supporter,today. This is not representative of my football club, but simply another demonstration of the absolute contempt that Hull City Tigers has for the supporters of Hull City AFC. I am not interested in foolish arguments of business acumen, but very interested in discussions of integrity, honesty and a core belief that the man, who claims to be our friend, lives to these ideals; I do not believe he does. I have not read all of the posts, someone spoke about giving your daughter (and name) away and I cannot express just how disappointing that is to me; my daughter (I have two) would not live for over 100yrs, she would not have a following of thousands over those years and if some flaming Flash-Harry decided to mess with the way of things, we would take it on and sort it. It's great being in the PL, but it's the club, not the dosh or the ego that does it for me. Those of us who take this personally must fight this - anyone else I would encourage to look at the dishonesty, but ultimately I respect your viewpoint; whether or not you respect mine is of little importance, other than being able to talk like adults.
There's not a lot new for me to say on this that hasn't been said already, but I've got a few thoughts anyway. Firstly, to create a strong band you need it to be united, we've now got three different official names, and the club have said call us what you want we're not bothered anyway, making it even weaker. To tap into foreign markets, and even UK and local ones we need to do something this club doesn't do; ****ING MARKETING. Where is our junior supporters club? Or adverts in local media? Or feedback asking passholders for improvement? None of that would be difficult, our previous marketing manager wanted to do it but you know, marketing is so overrated. Why choose today to announce it? Why did they have to do it to over shadow Andy Dawson's testimonial? I mean this is a guy whose given 10 years to this club, despite having been offered a contract last summer then them withdrawing it. Why have they lied to us over the past 2/3 months while trying to rebrand us by stealth? If it was always going to happen, which it clearly was, then an announcement at the start of the summer would have caused outrage still, but it wouldn't have been quite so bad. Does this give justification towards the council regarding the Stadium? I'll be honest I've always been on their side on this one from the start, but I think that was more because I've been dubious about the Allam's for a while and obviously I'm an FC fan too. But their argument was that they wanted it so they could build a community sports village and to give a gift to the city. Well this has obviously put a spanner in there since they don't care about the opinions of the community.

That is the worst thing about it. Trying to keep it under wraps and then NT coming out and telling lies has made it much worse.
Why do I even bother but here goes... You really believe that Allam has absolute contempt for Hull City supporters? Really?.... Isn't "absolute contempt" language you would reserve for murderers and rapists? Why does over 100 years matter? Do you walk pass Boothferry Park every Sunday to stop and pay respect to the "deceased" stadium? Change is inevitable.
