So reading the minutes from the latest fans meeting with the club (see website) it mentions that for the 20th anniversary of the fa cup match against Liverpool that next season they are looking at bringing back the classic purple and green away shirt as adidas is going so they hope who ever replaces them will allow fan input

Wasn't sure back then if the home supports were laughing at City's kit or Osmans tactics.

Junior Bent and Nigel Hawkins up front anybody!!

Not quite andy I think you slightly misread what was said.
    Liverpool 20-year anniversary

The Supporters Trust is working with the club to hold a dinner in January 2014 to celebrate 20 years since the club’s FA Cup win at Liverpool.

MA asked about a commemorative purple and lime shirt. This will depend on the club’s away shirt designs for next season.
In other words as no colour/design for next seasons kit has been taken providing Purple and Lime are not the colours chosen it would possibly be considered.

A win is a win if you get it because the opposition are creased up laughing who cares it's still a win.

To win you need to score. Osmans team was the lowest scoring in the division. Playing two up top neither of which is 5.6 and just banging it forward isn't so funny after a time. Might explain why crowds dropped as fast as they did at the start of the eighties.

Junior Bent......so fast he could'nt stop to cross the ball at the bye-line, and when he did he usualy managed to find the inch perfect cross we all dream of. Unfortunately, an inch perfect cross to a supporter in row F was no use to anybody!

I like the idea of having the purple and green shirt next season, I can break out my old one to wear??? was there when we ended Sourness' career at Liverpool. Great day out.

That's a little unfair on Jnr Bent his crosses were usually inch perfect, if we would have had a 6'3" striker he would have scored loads of goals, however his striking partner was about 5'7" poor in the air so was usually a foot or so beneath the ball. That's from memory I could be wrong but that is how I seem to remember it.
