Well, the chairman of the PFA seems to think there is no buy out clause, as Liverpool have said from day 1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23610289
I see the spokesman of one of the LFC supporter clubs said that "all Luis has to do is apologise and make it sound as though he means it". I'd agree if it was one of our players but it still made me laugh!
Just when one thought that 'Pool could not drag the good name of football any further along in the mud, up pops one of their players to lamp his missus in a craven and cowardly beating. That will now go before the law courts, and the player will be duly sentenced. I bet, even as I write this, 'Pool's tasteless Yank owner is having the tee-shirts printed "Raheem is innocent" or "the bitch deserved it" or something along those lines, as a demonstration of support for their player. Meanwhile, the farce that has become of the "Goofy Show" continues to gather disgrace from both club and player. Goofy has been forced to train by himself, gaining himself the tag "Goofy no mates" from Gerrard and the boys whilst the crackpot Yank and David Brent are insisting that the player apologises for having been stupid enough to be duped into signing a contract with a fake buy-out clause. I am not making any of this up!
It's a new one, arrested last night. I think the other case was dismissed, though not entirely sure. http://news.sky.com/story/1126700/liverpools-raheem-sterling-denies-assault
I am starting to feel a little sorry for Sewerez (insanity could be setting in), being forced to stay at a club with merely top 8 aspirations and forced into playing with Horrenderson, Borini, Allen and the like. It is time Goofy handed in a formal transfer request and freed himself from Stalag Klanfield.
I want Goofy to be forced to stay at 'Pool, and forced to play, and to run the wrath of Mousers, booed off the field at the end of every game. It will serve as a lesson for any player thinking of going to 'Pool simply because they are prepared to offer silly wages. If the player is stupid and greedy enough to take the bribe from 'Pool, he should be forced to see out the humiliation of playing in a mid-table side until the end of his contract.
We don't offer silly wages. In fact sigurdson turned us down as you were offering 60k (twice what we were prepared to). But he's been worth it for you...
I've read this a lot from Liverpool fans. Any proof that this is true? Given that your wage bill was roughly a third higher than ours at last count (£119m to £90m), it seems pretty unlikely.
