Premier League - Hull City renamed Hull City Tigers http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/football-new-name-hull-072136925.html
i was going to say its the start of the soul being taken out the game, but that's been happening since the ****ing prem began lol. sad that money men have all that power now days, bit like the ****e that went on with Wimbledon changing names and having to start again at the bottom. their nickname in the team name? dont understand the use for it in the name of the club, as i always thought that was half the fun of knicknames.
Another example of rich people with no understanding of the culture and tradition of football coming in and screwing with it.
The owner has described it as a 'rebranding' exercise because 'short snappy names' do better commercially... As somebody pointed out in the comments section, regretfully, Manchester United Association Football Club are doing pretty well. And isn't 'Hull' a short, snappy enough name?
Actually Man Utd recently dropped the "FC" in their rebranding. They didn't call themselves Manchester United Devils, however
utterly pointless. down to the championship with you lot. thats a rubgy league name and frankly you can see why the town while biggish has never done much in football.
Hello Liverpool, you've seen the news,so i won't(or shouldn't have to) go into detail. You are a proud and traditional football club, and i'm certain you will understand, why i would be very grateful,if you would sign this petition to keep Hull city afc...Hull city afc. I thank you in advance https://www.change.org/en-GB/petiti...&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=share_petition
