The owners know that certain fans are soft enough to stand for anything but enough is enough, we can get this changed so long as people grow some balls and idiots like the guy above (what sort of cretin calls themselves circumsize) really make me sick
Bland, Americanised, souless, gimmicky, throwaway, impulse purchase only - these are the "values" I associate with childish names like "Hull City Tigers". Are Hull trying to prove they're a toy town club??? This is how we enter the Premiership- not my words. What a joke.
I don't see the point in blaming NT. He had nothing to gain by lying about it so obviously he has been made to. Whoever the Allams employed would have had to do the same thing.
Right. So this coming season, the badge isn't changing. It'll be changed in consultation with the fans. So they're dropping the "AFC" and "The". Sure, I'm a little annoyed Nick has misled us over that bit, but, its a mild annoyance, and it still doesn't actually bother me. I'm still confused about the strip and badge for next season, as they've already released the kits, and the ones from the official club shop still have "Hull City AFC" and "The Tigers" on it, which I assume is what the players are going to wear, and have been wearing in pre-season, but with all the noise at the mo, I don't know if there's to be a second release and the players will use the badge with 2 less words. Just to clarify (mostly for PLTs obsession), at the time I posted that, I didn't expect a sudden name change (clue is the use of the words "I believe", note no statement of fact from me), I'm slightly miffed it may be changing on this seasons shirts if it is, but, I'm s not bothered by it.
It's been announced that the current strips and badges will continue to be used until the end of the 2013/14 season.
I said I couldn't be arsed before, but here we go. A mixture of some very forcefully worded opinions/mocking everyone for disagreeing with you and some statements of outright fact:
Nah sorry, I still don't see it that way. I'm still not certain beyond any reasonable doubt that we'll have a newly worded badge when the boys run out at Stamford Bridge, and as I've repeated often enough, I don't see it as a major drama. I'm with Sir Tom on that. If the badge words are changing, well done, someone was right, and others jumped on the bandwagon to be outraged by something trivial and obviously I was wrong. I stand by my view that at that time, no one KNEW for certain, it was all speculation, like we've seen a lot in the past on here, and sure, throw enough **** and eventually some of it will stick, but I still didn't, and don't, see any need to join in with complaining about stuff posted by proven bullshitters on the internet. I was right about the whiney emails doing fook all too. You're welcome.
The kit/badge and name are not, for this season, changing (as far as I can make out from what's been said at club level). Do you think the 'throwing of ****' by 'bullshitters' induced Papa to change the club's name?
You seem to be saying that people were accusing the Allams of doing all sorts of things when there may only have been 2 or 3 accusations and the main one has been the change of name even after Thompson denied it. So it was just chance that hundreds of us felt that the name would be changed and you didn't think the name would be changed? I would call that bad judgement on your part.
He appears to have gone into hiding. The worrying thing is that if pressure goes for him to walk, then that will put our remaining transfers in jeapordy as he was brought in to do all the negotiations.
For all those ****s against it......................... Dont you lot dare come glory hunting on here anymore - stick to your scarboro towns and grimsby towns... Cos they are real clubs. For ****s sake!
Looks like Nick Thompson hasn't gone into hiding but has been doing his proper job. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...enham-Hotspur-midfielder-Tom-Huddlestone.html
**** off Patty. Usually your awful drivel is tolerable but because people are against a truly repulsive and irritating rebrand of a team they've supported their whole lives doesn't make them "Glory Hunters". When I was a kid, it was Hull City AFC and it should stay that way. It was Hull City AFC that won Promotion from League 2 up to the Premier League in the space of 5 years, not Hull City Tigers Ltd. We haven't gone down the route of goal-music or cheerleaders, keeping quite rightfully in the English style of football but then we go and rebrand and go more into American-esque than any of the Clubs that have ****ty goal music. What next? Start calling it "Soccer"? Go and crawl back into your whole and stop pissing around. Making a stance against people doesn't make you more of a man. You're in the minority.
Nice work moving the goalposts by adding a timing caveat after you were proved to have been talking total **** last month. ;-)
