Is anyone slightly confused by the amount of money that we seem to be spending?
I suggested a while ago that the best idea if we were selling Bale would be to agree the deal and ask Real not to publicise it until we'd spent the money. Partnership bollocks and all that.
That way we wouldn't get ripped off by clubs who knew we had £80m+ burning a hole in Levy's wallet.

So far we've signed Paulinho (£17m), Chadli (£6m), Soldado (£26m) and it seems that Capoue and Coentrao (£8.6m and £13m) might be on their way.
That's a hell of a lot of money and we've only sold Caulker and let a few players go.

 

caulker and Demps have brought us in £15m, so if/when coentrao and Capoue sign, that makes it about £55m. - how much do we get in TV money?

The Fail are claiming that Capoue's joined for £8.6m. Only problem with that is that they've used the word EXCLUSIVE as part of their headline.
Has that word been redefined since I last checked?

 

Also remember RE Coentrao, we could be using the money owed on Modric for that one, so we might not be spending anything on him. Infact, they might be giving us money!
