Confirms what we already knew. Amazing that Hughes is managing again after the debacle he created.

Nothing new but still rather shocking to hear it from the horse's mouth. The article states Derry wants to go back to QPR to help with promotion push. It does not quite seem to me that he wants to go back if he is speaking in that way.

Given that we have shed 19 players, its a bit worrying that only 1 of them is on your 'out' list mate.

Nothing that we didn't suspect but nice to hear someone come out with it.

He didn't pull any punches with:
Derry said: ‘Jamie is a massive loss to QPR. I’m sad to see the back of Jamie. But I’m not sad to see the back of any of the rest of them, apart from Ji-Sung Park.

You can only get rid of the players that others want.

This is bang on. Of course the shirkers, mercenaries and hangers-on are deserving of our contempt, but you have to look at the fool that brought them in too. More so, in fact. I suspect Warnock may have to hold his hands up to one or two, as well, but there were mitigating circumstances around his inability to bring in players in an orderly fashion during the pre-Premier League close season. Hughes was paid fantastic sums of money to bring in the 'right sort' and make them gel. Oh, how we laughed at the term 'gel' in the early part of last season, but it is an undeniable fact that that was the very essence of the problem and Hughes is accountable. He will most likely be successful at Stoke because he will have learned from this, so our loss is his longer-term career gain.

The bottled up rant of a man that clearly isn't coming back in a month's time.

He did well to bite his tongue this long!

Stolen his own thunder for his autobiography (tentative title " Migration of the Grey Peacock") though.

Well I can't blame Hughes and i never will ... He was given the directive to aim for top ten ... Of course it was a disaster to try and buy a team and sorry but that started with NW IMO

Like Derry It was the club everyone and backs up what i said about breaking our team spirit while others on here wanted a new team ...

We put together our best ever squad to produce our worse ever team.

It doesn't matter now we have to back the club and current manager to go again.

    Park IMO did little wrong

    Barton owes us IMO

I think Derry is a bit of a **** for saying this.

He's only sorry to see Park and Mackie go?! Unfair disrespect to Remy and Adel that is

Remy had a gentlemans agreement that if we got relegated he could go. He came in in January into a terrible team and scored 6 goals. He done a **** load more than Derry did that season. A player of his quality in a world cup year shouldnt have to play in the championship.

As for Adel thats been done to death but without Adel Derry wouldnt have been in the prem the las two years.

Lol. It's a pity he isn't known for his pranks because I reckon "Every Grey Clown has a Millwall Signing" could have worked... just about.

Peter, there is no such thing in football as a gentlemans agreement. if there was a lot of players should have voluntarily had their wages reduced after last year.

My abiding memory of Park (who did alright away vs Saints) was a really pitiful attempt to close down the WHU player who crossed for their first goal at the home fixture last season.

It always struck me as a strange move for him to come to us, but it was obvious watching that that we weren't going to get the same level of commitment and professionalism from Park as he gave at Man Utd.

But I agree with the comments above about players dishing the dirt. We know now what went on last season and insiders bringing in up again seems unnecessary now.

park was a very important player at man utd, and sir alex always played him in important games, except in the last year, I thought that was a top signing for rangers, maybe park had lost his hunger and A.F sold him on, I did not work out for both parties, in fairness mark hughes is not a bad manager, it never worked out at rangers, many reasons for that, the dressing room was split,(improvement this season already) moral is higher, to many players bought in at double the money other players were on, the only mistake T.F made (and I am a big fan of his). He made a really bold and naïve statement when he said we don't have a budget, but we are not in the many city league, no wonder every agent was calling him(I even said I can do a job for rangers,) Derry was bang on the money, this season should be a good one
