FOOTBALL Liverpool footballer Raheem Sterling has been charged with assault. The 18-year-old winger spent last night in a police cell after being arrested at 10.30pm following an incident in Page Moss, Huyton, Liverpool. A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "Raheem Sterling, 18, of Woolton, was charged with Section 39 commonassault. "Sterling was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court today."
Pepe Reina has welcomed Napoli's reported interest in his former Liverpool team-mate Martin Skrtel. Napoli have been linked with a move for Skrtel with Rafa Benitez thought to be lining up a second raid on his old club after bringing in Reina on loan from Liverpool earlier this summer. Reina was remaining coy on any possible move from Napoli for Skrtel, but he is a big admirer of the Slovakian international. "I don't know what Napoli are looking for but I can say Martin Skrtel is a good player," said Reina. "But he is a Liverpool player. His qualities would be great for any team and he is a great player. "I respect Liverpool, Martin Skrtel and all of the Napoli players, so I can't say anything more about this."
All assault requires is the complainant to have suffered an a fear of immediate force or violence - even if the violence is mild, language only. And the fear is subjective to the complainant themselves. EDIT: just read what he did... obviously it applies!

No, just the **** app that's missing. The app is gash, I've updated my iPhone and I just use the Internet to go on 606, works absolutely fine for me .
Back on topic..... Although we have signed 4 players so far we have also lost Spearing Shelvey Wilson Gulasci (spelling) Carroll And obviously loaned out reina/suso/ Robinson plus other fringe players. On top of that carra has retired. And now there is a possibility that skrtel and downing may go. Now I know some of these were fringe players and some would rarely get near the first team but without any new players coming in do you think we are starting to look a little'thin'? With possibly only 1 signing on the horizon (cissokho) and very little in the way of even rumours I just am a bit concerned that we haven't replaced what we've lost. Cut the wage bill mind.
More concerned about the quality of the 1st 11 to be hnest. I think we have cover for every position apart from defensive midfield
The first 11 are fine and we do have some reasonable back up but I am sure Rodgers said a while back that we need to add players not reduce the squad size further.
I realise you said most were fringe players but, out of those you have listed, five of them were loaned out last season so wasn't part of the team at all and only Shelvey, Reina, Carragher and Suso were part of the setup. We have replaced Reina (Migs), Carragher (Toure) and Suso (Alberto) already. In addition, we have also added Aspas which gives the side more balance without gaining or losing numbers. If Skrtel or Downing go (plus Assaidi) then I think we can expect replacements. Plus the emergence of Ibe covers the loss of one of the wingers too.
I go along with this; improve the first eleven and the squad will take care of itself Definitely need a DM now Spearing as left. Not that he was the answer but least we had some sort of cover for Lucas with Jay around.
You can kill two birds with one stone if you sign Papa. Shame we lost interest in him, but I read today that he's still 3-4 weeks away from being ready to start a game so probably a wise move.
