I like Enrique. He faffs about too much on occasion but he's almost impossible to knock off the ball and a good attacking outlet.
With Enrique, I get the impression that he can't do too much else it will confuse him. As a LB, he's solid defensively but it hampers with his attacking ability because he's always thinking about defending etc. When he was playing as LW, he was a much better player offensively and it coincided with a better run of results and goals scored. When he was LW, he wasn't afraid to run and drive into the box and did something that hardly any of our players and that was get in the box.
enriques problem is too many touches... he is extremely obvious how he has the ball on his right drags it left then passes it... he just takes 5 touches to release a pass and just won't go one and two touch. he also has a deadly propensity to stand 30 yards from goal and donkey a ball as a cross rather than recycle it when nothing else is on. he is best when he is really close to the pen area and runs i do agree nobody outmuscles or out runs him... overall IMO a decent but not outstanding LB. same when a winger... come on guys he is still an LB. His outstanding attribute is his team spirit. he's looked after aspas and alberto and it will stand to lfc far more than any training we've done with them. they settled right away and in no small part to having enrique help.
Agree with this. He has his faults but i'm glad he's our player. Sometimes he will take crazy risks but he also gets us out of trouble by wriggling out of danger too.
that long punt... yeah, even carra got a few of those right in his time the earleir the ball the better so if players can find the channels and players like aspas and sturridge can run those channels it'll force teams deeper and allow more space to pass in for coutinho and gerrard... variety. pressing sides, early ball find space... depp lying sides pass it up the wings, into the middle in triangles and run the legs off them, it can'll all be tappy tappy... neither can it be ****e CBs holding the ball for half the game while a side sites back.... whey we need lucas, allen and gerrard taking it off them and doing the job.
heard they offered £4 mill last year , shame that the deal didn't happen then, well at least its one more player off the books who isnt good enough to play for this club.
