They want £7m according to the fail, hes not even worth half that. I hope we move on quickly after weve stopped laughing and slammed down the phone.
£7 million?! He's had half a good season in the top flight where WE gave him the opportunity to play games. Spurs have done nothing for him. It's hardly a Kyle Walker situation where he's going to start for Spurs regularly. He'd walk into our team, and if he joined we'd be in a very strong position to go up at the first attempt.
Townsend has shown all his class last season though £7m seems to be a little over the top. Anyway, we still do need some quality players in the 2nd tier and Townsend would perfectly fit in.
Would love to have him back. Good player with the right attitude. Put most of the other players to shame with the passion he showed and he was only on loan
Thats more like it although their chairman is so tight that he wouldnt go for it. Remember hed only loan us Townsend if we took Jenas last time.
He was a breathe of fresh air in some games last year, but very one dimensional. Hoilett has the potential to be a much better player. £7m is a joke.
agree again with this ... Junior and SWP both have tricks that need to be rediscovered ... Townsend was good but if fans think his game is worth 7M ... well?
SWP is a lost cause, fat Hoilett was useless but he seems to have lost a lot of weight and is causing havoc to the defences hes faced, just needs to find a finish or 2 to round his game.
3.5M - 4.0M is my expert evaluation based on all factors (including wind speed and direction). As far as I can see, we have a few wingers plus a few that have played there and done a job. Surely a fourth striker is the priority? Either that or dogged, 30 something defensive midfielders.
