“@OfficialQPR: HR - Diakite wants to go. We won't stand in his way. He's had knee surgery & he's not fit at the moment, but we're happy to let him go #QPR”

    Good riddance

He's been nothing but a liability since signing and won't be missed at all

Would love to know the full story here. He was to be our Patrick Vieira. What a waste.

If he stays in the UK don't be surprised to see him at Stoke!

Knee surgery - they kept that quiet. Taking malingering a bit far, despite Harold's insinuation.

Another bloke with raw potential who needed coaching and didn't get it.

Didn't he score the winner against Arsenal season before last?

We did have such high hopes.

Pretty obvious Diakite was on Harry's list of recalcitrants. No doubt about the raw talent and eager too, at least in the first season with us. But always a worry after picking up a yellow, that he'd get another during the game. Disappointed it didn't work out but...we move on

Shame, thought he had massive potential. Probably Harry's doing in this instance after we stuck with him and supported through his illness.

Even for Harry this is pretty forthright....He DOES NOT like Diakite on so many levels
.... I thought Diakite had serious depression problems....knew nothing about his knee....anyone else in the same bit of "dark" as I was.

All of this does not hold true on one side or another...

Best close the door on this as soon as possible

Something has happened to the QPR fanbase....we used to thrive on misfits, mavericks, oddballs. Now its good riddance to anyone who doesn't fit the stereotypical mold. Diakite, Mbia, Cisse, Granero - all have disappointed to a great extent, but surprised there is not a little more warmth towards them. Even a fair few happy to see Adel go.

Perhaps we just had too many at the same time.

No Stan, we thrived on misfits who did the job....like Adel did in the Championship....we warmed to MbIa, when he played well and gave his shirt to the kids.

But Adel storming of from training when asked to jump on the scales, granero never performing. Cesar going so off the boil and not caring...It is the passion we love

We take to anyone who tries their best...We love Derry and Hill, too old, too slow, too untalented....but we/I love them because they try and care....I will always love both of them, for the effort they put in LAST season....So get that devotion with talent...and those are the players we love

I still think Diakite is destined to be the best player the world. Who am I kidding, he IS the best player in the world.

Not me Beth. Bowles himself would disappear not only within games but for games on end. Still my favourite. I want to watch skillful players trying things, or nutters (non violent variety) being nutters. Which teams show the most passion in English football? Stoke probably, or Wimbledon of old.

Memory is a wonderful thing (for me...completely selective...).. Stan played when I had a season ticket and went to most away games. My absolute hero too (bar none!!!).....but I have no memory of him disappearing for games.. I seem to remember him doing something in most games...if it was only coming over to chat to the fans during a quiet moment. I have no memory of him being uninterested on the pitch...always ready for it...that is my selective memory. Off the pitch however, footy was a poor second or third...... But come 3.05 (give him 5 minutes to get the result from the 3.00 race...then he played for fun...)

I suspect this is not the truth...but please do not tell me otherwise.

I have hopes for Junior this year...first two matches he has been a revelation....one can hope

Very true ................ they suffer from having no balls, to lacking any form of heart, to a complete breakdown of spine or vertebral.
    We need more team doctors!
