There was this kind of outrage when Cardiff changed their kit, it doesn't seem to have done them any harm, and im sure that the ones that were boycotting/complaining last year will have a season ticket this year.

Maybe Allam is a visionary, maybe other clubs will re-brand away from "City" or "United", you never know, in a few years time, maybe Hull Tigers will be playing Manchester Red Devils <ok>

Total Network Solutions, Sheffield Wednesday and Accrington Stanley (which ever version of it you choose) gain loads from being unique....don't they?

Don't TNS change their name regularly? I'm sure they're Total Network Solutions one minute, then The New Saints another? I'm sure they've had other names recently too?

Acutally it does a little ...
It would be a shame if we did take the format of team naming from a country that doesn't really give a **** about football.

To everyone who says the club belongs to the fans and we'll still be here so remember that.

I thought Assem had made it perfectly clear with this that its HIS club NOT OURS. We are nothing more than customers buying a product, I buy a lot of petrol from Texaco does that mean it belongs to me? No.

I think owning a premiership football club is more of a personal showboat than a gift to the community, if he really was in it for the community he would listen and go along with their desires than arrogantly say "we're having it my way whether you like it or not you can call us what you want but it's my club".

I don't feel like I'm supporting my club, I feel like I'm supporting someone else's club and the Allams bank account. I'm not sure if in going to keep going this season, call me fickle, but its a matter of principle, and I can easily watch every game this season online rather than sacrifice days every time making the 250 mile round trip.

I'm disappointed to say the least.
I just hope the next owners can reclaim our heritage

OH NO THIS WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!

some of you little englanders need to get a grip!
You lot are constantly harping on about history - go and support Leeds, they live in the past too.
    Hull Tigers sounds good.
it gives us a distinction from ALL the other teams!

As long as the team is a success on the pitch i dont care one way or the other. It is only a name afterall.

Hull City has not been that successful overall in its 109 years and before the KC move it had had far more years of failure than success.

If the name change does happen then so be it imo.

We literally couldn't be more different. I would honestly, hand on heart rather be bottom of the entire league and called Hull City than in the Premier League and called Hull Tigers. So where does it stop and go too far in your eyes? If we move the club to London cos it has a bigger population to tap into and hence more revenue and potential on-pitch success is that ok with you?

It stuns me how people would literally sell anything for success, in this case the entire essence of our football club. I'm a Hull City fan, as of today I haven't got a club in England that I support.

Anyone up for forming a Hull City AFC at the bottom of the entire pyramid?

This is to give you a stonger identity!? As an outsider, it loses your indentity. I wouldn't be happy if I were a Hull fan. It sounds like some American side... Sad that this is what football is coming to.

Couldn't agree more. If sacrificing our history and heritage is the price we have to pay for premiership football then I'd really rather not bother. Bring back Martin Fish, all is forgiven.

It isn't just the name change though, I now no longer trust the Allams as far as I could throw them (considering I'm really quite slender and Assem is a big fat **** that's not going to be very far at all) after them lying through their teeth and saying it won't happen despite scheming and plotting behind the scenes the whole time.

I think with this act he's just confirmed himself 100% a business man and 0% a football man. He will look at us and see figures, statistics and paying customers rather than loyal, devoted supporters. I don't think he cares about what we think at all.

If its going to be his way or the highway, I'm off down the highway. A football club is a community in itself to serve an even bigger community, not a single mans toy.

I thought we were being renamed Hull City Tigers, so you do still have a club to support?

Today in one move Allam has become the worst owner in the history of our (former) football club.

This must be the reason the new kits are delayed. Rebranding and a hull city tigers under the crest i expect. Fuming really . Not as if it depended on a major cash influx like our cardiff friends. Im still a hull city afc suporter and will never refer to us as hull city tigers.
