I’ve never heard so much bullshit come out of peoples mouths as on this thread………..on no hang on a minute aren’t you all the same people who threatened not to go, renew tickets, buy merchandise and say **** you to the Allams when we sacked Barmby? Yep, thought so. Will this diminish the history of the club? NO Will this take away all of our achievements over the last 109 years? NO Will it have any effect on us playing in the Premier League? NO Will it stop the club from moving forward? NO Will Steve Bruce suddenly resign? NO Will the Allam’s pull out all their money and leave us in the ****? NO Are we still playing Chelsea on the 18th August? YES Is the club still in its strongest positions on and off the field for decades? YES You lot can spend the whole day spouting off your sanctimonious bullshit but it won’t make one bit of difference! I’m still going tomorrow, I’m still paying stupid money to go to Chelsea next week and I’m still going to buy my shirt and wear it with as much pride as I always have done. Jeez, get over it!!
One big stupid mistake by Assem Allam does not make him the anti Christ in my opinion. I'm still well pleased he took over as owner when no one else gave a **** and he has still done fantastic things for our club.
seriously losing respect for a lot of posters on here........you need to wind your necks in sometimes and think before you put this drivel into the public domain
The day we sacked NB I said it was a master stroke by the Allams and that fans would be dancing on the pitch at the end of the season when City won promotion to the premier league.
Not that it really takes the debate anywhere, but we wouldn't have gone into administration, we would have gone straight into liquidation and would have ceased to exist. So our heritage would have been deleted.
Bristol City in peace. No, he might own the club financially, but Hull City belongs to the supporters and people of Hull who will still be there when the current "owner" is long gone. Don't you ever forget that. Without all of you, his reason for "owning" Hull City Football Club ceases to have any meaning whatsoever. Best wishes for the coming season.
When did I say he wasn't? Am I incorrect in saying they are a family with Egyptain Heritage? Am i incorrect in saying we are owned by an Egyptian (in Assem Allam, who by the way is our owner if you didn't know). If you can find me any evidence me being wrong on any of these things I swear on my life that I will streak on the KC pitch in the first game at home with Hull Tigers written all over me. Some complete cretins on this board.
Yes you are incorrect. The club is owned by Allam Marine. If you're gonna streak I may give Norwich a miss
Surely still cant be that bitter over Pearson! please log in to view this image That seems a little too extreme surely, id rather we were called Leicester Foxes and were still fighting for prem football than be in Coventrys situation right now.
Just like Portsmouth did then? Just like Leeds did then? Just like Bradford did then? Just like Sheffield Wednesday did then? Should I go on?
Who owns Allam Marine? We can talk semantics all day long if you want? Being a pedant really isn't a virtuous trait. I think I will give streaking at Norwich a miss come to think of it.
Oh dear. I've not read all the threads so I'll apologise if it's been said already: The name change in itself is, begrudgingly, acceptable. I'd prefer just plain Hull City AFC but Allam owns the club - he put his money where nobody else did - so we have to go with it. The major problem I have is to do with the integrity of our owners. They've played us all for mugs and lied continuously for months, denying the name change whilst planning it in the background. That's what I find wholly unacceptable. The fans who questioned the subtle name changes have been betrayed. I've always been behind the Allams in their decision making even when in the back of my mind I had an uneasy feeling, eg the Barmby sacking. I backed them when they said the Council was at fault over the stadium purchase issue. Now all of a sudden my thinking is clouded on these issues. I'm shocked to be honest. Oh and by the way, Nick Thompson should fall on his sword........
Each their own. I'd rather have identity, but if you would prefer success at any cost that's fair enough. I enjoy the debate.
