2013/14 Prediction league

Agreed, I'm just suggesting one prediction sticky rather than two. Last season it seemed a bit daft having so many stickies including one (the season-long prediction one) which no one ever actually posted on).

 

I agree (just to get the topic back on page 1 and to remind one and all that first weeks selections have been posted )

So, are the fixtures selected going to be a mix of the leagues like last season, or just Prem fixtures?

I'd prefer the former to stay, personally.

 

This was discussed earlier in the topic and the general consensus was 4 prem games + the City game + 3 championship games + 1 league 1 game + 1 league 2 game, much the same as in previous years....see my offered selections for weekend 17th / 18th at #24

 

I will, I just want to see if we sign someone before Chelsea.

 

You think a signing (or 3 for that matter) would make a difference ? City will win regardless (even if Chelsea sign 3).....

 

Does someone post a League Table ?
Do actual scores matter, or just WDL results (home team first for you daft North Americans (viz Ice Hockey scores )) ?

PS:. Does it work that 1st person to predict 10 games forces everyone else to pick the same 10 games ?

 

Score lines matter. If I remember right you get 1 point for a correct Win/Loss/Draw but a total of 3 points if you guess the Win/Loss/Draw and you get the correct scoreline. Then there is some tie breakers. That is total correct score lines and then total weekly wins. Someone might correct me on that but I am pretty sure thats how it worked last season.

Cheers Elle....bet you've framed that last posting and have it prominantly displayed ?...well done last season.

 

The points system is perfect - It's the same one used on many other prediction leagues, if I recall.

Also, looking at the table, it took me forever to find my name... then I realised I was Zidane's Left Foot back then. I've been considering changing my name again recently tbf. Maybe just shortening it down to Macca or something.

 

Bloody Hell Elle....I know how you won this thing last year. You're 8 hours behind (if you're still in California that is) of those buggers in the UK and this forum doesn't reflect any time differential on individual postings !!!! Just haven't figured out how you insert your post in "display-time " sequence on the board yet ? LOL

My strategy involved only picking 2-1 games and never picking an upset. This season I plan on really trying to predict as opposed to simply playing the odds.
