<laugh> Bloody Brummies, bloody Po Po. What was he filming and why where the police even there?

I was taking some photos in a city centre once, down a quieter street, and had 5-O come and ask me what I was up to, I said 'taking a picture of this building officer', he left it at that.

In an ideal world the BOS would be in court for vicariously employing these thugs. When I was teenager they turned up at house over an unsecured loan of my sister's, and promptly tried to convince my poor mum that they had the right of entry, and that they could tow away MY beloved Capri! Me and my dad were out fishing with my cousins, and it was in the days before mobiles. Luckily our next door neighbour stepped in and wiped the floor with them, called the police and they bolted.

The irony was that my sister hadn't lived there for four years! And they tried to bottle my mum into telling them her address or that they were legally entitled to take our possessions. Utter scum.

Bailiffs are often total twats, but in fairness they're often dealing with total twats....however, there's no excuse for circumventing the system.

The issue of house repo's is a serious one though & all parties have a social responsibility to ensure that every means possible has been looked at, to try & reach a sensible & equitable solution as to how the home owner can repay their arrears & get their payments back on track.

If however, their circumstances have dramatically changed & there's no chance of them being able to afford to make the payments they committed to in the medium / long term, then unfortunately losing their asset is the inevitable consequence.

In my opinion many people often bury their heads until it's got to the point where the lender has lost faith & looks to foreclose, the earlier people face the issue head on & seek to engage in meaningful dialogue with their lender the better for all concerned.

    sort of agree tobes,

i had a mate who couldn't afford the payments and spoke to the lender about what he could afford and how to go about paying the money owed and they didn't want to know, no ifs buts and maybes, they basically told him to **** off.

went to court and the judge turned round and sided with him as he was offering them terms that was acceptable and he saw no reason for them to just object to agree to any terms.

so they can be total and utter ****s if they want to be, not always as clear cut as people burying their head in the sand.

The Bailiffs were acting illegally once they forced their way into the garden at the beginning, so everything after are mute points. Really they should have been arrested for trespassing in the end.

I didn't say they couldn't be ****s, as they can & often are, but your example shows that by facing the issue head on, your mate ended up with a satisfactory outcome & he didn't lose his home. If he'd have done **** all from the outset, he'd have lost in court.

I assume you mean moot? <laugh>

& you patently missed the FIRST sentence which ended with "however, there's no excuse for circumventing the system"

Even the most intelligent Brummies sound thick, it's an unfortunate affliction.

It was funny because it was both spelt wrong & used in totally the wrong context.

The banks weren't there you tit, the video shows the instructed bailiffs making a pigs ear of a repossession.

And the banks have a responsibility, both legal and moral, for the actions of those that it employs to carry out its actions.
