I think the words Henry has spoken make it very difficult for the club to sell now. They are strong words clearly saying we won't sell to anyone, not just Arsenal. I don't agree with those words as I think Luis has made his bed, but if we sold him now then Henry would come in for a hell of a lot of stick from Liverpool fans and possibly the rest of the footballing world too.

Yep. Funny at that time they said they were no strangers to this business. Still ended up selling. Case in point. I think what needs to happen next is we need to offer a higher bid. Somewhere in the region of 45-50m unfortunately. I don't think Suarez is worth it, but we need to make a statement here and that is to go big. But it's up to Wenger to act now.

Still say that this is going to end up with Suarez going to Arsenal in a deal with the details undisclosed but, "that could be worth 55 million."

15 million of the deal will be in bonuses paid out, say for example, if Arsenal win the double 3 years in a row.

Like I said in another thread, they have to appear strong and try to save face. Suarez has burnt his bridges there and he will leave. Simples. They will try and find a story to sell to the fans when they do sell though, as you said yourself.

I really don't care what John Henry says. He is just playing a smart game, he knows we are desperate and he is squeezing every penny out of us. Anybody who believes Liverpool will keep Suarez after his outburst is extremely naive. His position at the club is untenable. £50M + a transfer request will do the trick. I said it when we made the £40,000,001 and nothing has changed my mind. It's just a case of Wenger swallowing his ****ing ego and putting the club ahead of his ancient principles.
