  1. Same as when Suarez signed and Owen announced he wanted to got here eventually, I don't mind that. They will have to play well to get there <ok>

Aly Cissokho stating himself that he's agreed terms with us. Only sticking point they want permanent we want loan.

Thought we were Ok with permanent but have it as a clause at the end of the loan in case it goes wrong ( dont think it will, he was pretty good in the preseason games with Valencia).

  8. Is Cissokho a defensive or attacking LB? I'm hoping the former to counter Enrique's style.

He can do a bit of both, think he may be better than Enrique on the defensive end but he can also get forward if need be.

I'm just repeating; hope your right will happy with full deal.

Don't say clause: gives me shivers...

  11. Hmmm, I like Enrique and he is classed as an attacking fullback because he has great pace and attacking instinct but his final ball and finishing (although that bits improved) is somewhat questionable.

See I liked him going forward but thought the same as you finishing wise yet listening to Owen last night (I know I know) he laughed at the suggestion and said after playing/training with him "defending great, going forward no."

Maybe he's coming purely from a strikers point of view.

  13. Owen's opinion on Jose of Aly...?

    Edit: scrap that, I've re-read it <ok>

all i can say is the club seem to have run hard into a wall with signings.

I seem to me that if you take hnery at face value.... a) no way is he selling to arsenal b) even if real gave us 50mil would we sell to real cos we can't get anyone to join.

Maybe the mikhitaryan thing and maybe the costa things were "real" in so far as contacts were made which were rebuffed and just maybe the club is realising the likes of aspas is as good as it gets until some success is delivered.

I would be shocked however if this were the case as patently certin well known players who are desperate for a move are begging...

I kind of read this as henry knows full well nobody is coming in for the clown suarez who's picked the wrong tactic in biting an opponent and bascially nobody but the utterey deaf and desperate arsenal are stupid enough.

In short suarez had better realize he's a dead duck if he doesn't squirm his way to an apology and frankly i don't ex[ect to hear one single rendition of his song ever again no matter how many he bags.

In any event.... my new prediction is for no big signings now.... not unless rodgers finally retuns to eriksen and hopes it sticks

Yeah, but Owen criticised practically every player and decision, and spent half the game saying Aspas was too small and lightweight to play a full season up top. Because you were ****ing buff, right Mike? <doh>

Smacks of a guy who can't accept that he was past it at 26 before his career went downhill and instead knocks others from some self determined higher ability perspective whereby all players pale to what he could do.

Yeah I was confused with him. As commentator he doubted Aspas, as pundit he said he really rated him. Like he was wearing two hats so needed two opinions.

Just found it weird that we all think Suarez is quite forward thinking and occasionally lacking defensively but the guy who's played with him thinks the opposite.

But yes he is a twat after all. :D

Enrique might suck at tackling and holding a decent defensive position, but he is one of the finest fullbacks I've seen in one to one situations tracking back. He's fast and strong and uses those two skillsets to simply get inbetween the ball and player to win it back nearly every time - it makes up for his failings in alot of cases. If he drops the sloppy passes, he's a really good fullback and a great attacking outlet. Big fan of Enricky.
