The coppers had to follow the law, the bailiffs are just not used to facing people armed with points of law like that, there was **** all the coppers could do but comply, the bailiffs were proper scum though. But really, when they entered the garden at the end of the video, they should have been arrested on the spot after being warned not to As for the coppers, they nearly always behave like that when being recorded.
The bailiffs were almost frothing at one point, knew the warrant was incomplete and tried to bluff it through, sadly they succeed with their tactics most of the time.

It was 2012, probably still on going in the courts. The EX 96 was not signed which means the eviction had to be cancelled. there are thousands of void mortgages but the banks use these tactics to repossess. In Ireland Tom Darcy tried to take the banks to the supreme court, he had documented proof that the bank that was trying to repossess his home did not actually meet the requirements to hold a valid banking license, the media ignored it totally of course and the judges screwed him in the courts, but the fact remained they actually failed to qualify for a banking license, but the government stuck their oar in and had the judges screw him in court. Not really related to the voiding of a mortgage but it was a big deal
I think the bank went to the High Court in the end, and got the High Court Sheriffs in to do the eviction. Those guys actually know what they are doing, and so sorted it all out better than the two bit County Court blokes. I do find myself a bit torn by the whole situation to be honest. On the one hand I completely abhor twats like that bailiff who cut corners and treat people however they want just cos they have a badge and a court document. On the other hand, I'm not overly fond of guys like the bloke doing the recording, gobbing off that "your signature created the mortgage, you don't owe the banks anything". Seems like a very dodgy way of convincing people not to pay their mortgages and assuming that they can live in a house for free and constantly resist anyone taking any action to repossess it, legal or otherwise. Reminds me a lot of the squatters who break into houses and plaster them with Daily Mail cutouts informing everyone that they intend to stay there forever and there's **** all they can do to get them out. Not saying this Bird family have done that, but it seems that in the aftermath of the recession too many people are taking the opinion that the banks ****ed up, so they now have the 'right' to dodge all their own debts in return.
