New Season 2011/2012

    Does anyone know when the new season starts please? We are planning on going camping in early August and I don't want to miss the start of the season

    Season starts August 6th.

    Fixture list released June 17th.

    I imagine the first game will be Saturday 6th August, although that could be an away trip so the first home game might not be until the 13th.

    Actually, I'm supposed to be in London for the opening weekend, so I'm rather hoping we're away at Palace, Millwall, or Watford etc

    Seems early compared to past seasons. Family think that I'll be coming on holiday with them for ten days on 30th July - they are gravely mistaken

    I'm Brazil until August 25th at my Dads wedding<steam>

    Didn't miss a single home game all season and now I could miss the first 3 of this.

    Those Brazilian weddings stretch out a fair bit

    I missed 3 home games last season over Christmas, visiting family in Australia. Still, I got to go to the MCG for the Boxing Day test, which is probably better than seeing the Tigers get beat 1-0 by Leicester :cheesy:

    The season just gone was only a day later, and the Premier League starts a week later, so that's why it seems early (not including last season)

    It's always a day earlier than the previous season. I thought it might have been the 13th when it started because the 6th August seemed early, especially given the fact that the play-offs were late in the 2010/2011 season

    I leave on the 10th. Hopefully we'll start with a home game on the 6th and then have 2 away games.
