    Just had a text saying that Joey Barton is currently at the AoL discussing signing for us!!! Please god no!

    My mate text me and he heard it through the grapevine as you do - is anyone on here ITK? PLease can you deny this horrendous, malicious rumour

    If he was as good as Messi and Ronaldo combined I still wouldn't pay a penny to watch Sunderland until the day he ballsed up and left. ( at least I wouldn't miss many games)

    God I hope so! I understand that, football talent wise, he's not a bad player - but he's a complete (as sid says) cnut! Can't stand the bloke - Catts would be a much better option!

    i really cant see this happening. with pdc being a stickler for the clubs rules and code of conduct i cant see him wanting barton

    I reckon it is in SAFC's constitution that we MUST buy him - or perhaps Bellamy.

    It must state we have to have at least one d**khead in the squad, and McClean's just gone.
