The same applies with us. He has one year left on his contract and he probably has full confidence that if Leeds don't go up, he'll have plenty of Premier League offers. Everyone knows that. It's just the difference between going to the Premier League too quickly and potentially having a poor season at a new club, cutting his chances of getting offers if Norwich come straight back down, and staying at Leeds where he's more than likely going to have his best ever season next season and the offers will be flying in. He'll also be a free agent by then, able to demand higher wages as a result. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Snodgrass wanted to stay. As for whoever mentioned Beckford, he left at the end of his contract. The mention of being able to keep our star players generally refers to players still in contract. Players "devotion" to a club generally only goes so far as their contract, if it's even there in the first place. We turned down plenty of offers for Beckford last season before he eventually went on a free.
We recieved a fee of around 1.5 mill from everton and we turned it down. I know this because i was sat next to to moyesy at the oldham game on a cold tuesday night. and he said regardless of what we do, he will be an everton player either jan or in the summer where hes free to leave.
Grossly overvalued and hopefully PL won't waste his money on this player. Lambert seems to be in a hurry to build his squad for the Prem season. Can't see NCFC buying CMS from Posh now that we have Vaughan and Morison.
You are all forgetting that although £3.5m may be a fair valuation of his ability, Leeds don't have to sell if they don't want to.
We have Leeds fans all over our board now! Jeeez! Seems Loiner thought he was on to a good thing and brought a whole bunch of new fans. Arguing over how much he is worth has no bearing on whether Leeds accept a bid, if they want to accept it they will. No amount of Leeds fans moaning and crying is going to change anything.
Reports state that NCFC have raised their bid to £5m!!!! How come this Leeds player is worth twice as much as Morison? If he is worth £5m why is he playing for Leeds?
All Leeds players are chokers, £5mil for Snodgrass???????? No thanks, Max Gradel is good and so is Casper but other than that, average players..
You're speaking seriously out of turn if you think Schmeichel is a better player than Snodgrass. May I ask how many Leeds matches you watched last season? Because football's gone crazy. Obviously in that crazy world, I still want my club to compete but I agree £5m is too much money for Robert Snodgrass. Then again, in my ideal world, the most expensive transfer possible would be around £20m. No amount of discussion on a football forum will change anything. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to make valuations, discuss transfer goings-on and debate the merits of moving to Norwich. As someone said, Leeds don't have to sell if we don't want to. And according to the original report, we don't want to and are prepared to reject all your bids.
As I found out last season, 99% of Leeds fans were genuine and had some very good points. I, for one, think it's great that other teams visit our board. It must mean they think something of our team to want to make good, valid and comlimentary comments............most of the time.
We have better forwards than Snodgrass but Casper would be a good reserve keeper for us... How much is Max Gradel??????????
We should put a cheeky 500k bid for Gradel, we are not made of £££££££££££££££££££££££....It was only 90mil after all....ha ha ha ha
You have to appreciate these are stressful times for me with a gigantic club like Norwich City breathing down LUFC's dainty little neck. Thanks for the comment on my profile earlier on today BTW Whole lot of Holt. I love you too babes.
You won't get Snodgrass. If Leeds have put their foot down and said they are prepared to reject all bids, then that is what will happen. You'd have to pay well over the odds to change that. As for Gradel? He's already stated he's happy at Leeds and would gladly sign a new contract if he were offered one right now, despite interest from Newcastle.
That's more like it - Bradley Johnson on a free! So, it looks like Vaughan, Morison (with Millwall fans abuse), Bennett? and Johnson. Would like to see Lansbury and Pacheco back as well. Now for some defenders. As one fan has alredy stated Lambert will go for experience in this department although a young Belgian - De Laet has been mentioned. More twists and turns to come............
Morning Guys, looks to me, that with all the strikers Lambert is signing, Holt is going to be no more than a squad player next season, any chance we could have him on loan? I'll go and make a coffee whilst you all think of suitable replies.
