Our city has always had religious divides yet, for the most part we have managed to keep religion out of football. When I stood on The Kop it didn't matter to mee which foot the feller next to me kicked with. All that mattered was that he was a REDMAN.

Celtic and Rangers just bring shame to football

Liverpool’s former Director of Football, Damien Comolli, says Luis Suarez‘s desire to leave for a Champions League club is completely understandable.

What is wrong with Suarez wanting to leave for a better employer? We move jobs in other sectors, we don't have to show loyalty to Shell, the BBC or the civil service. Why should footballers have to show loyalty?

If we are offered more money or a better job, are we accused of betraying our employers?

I can't see why any footballer would want to play for Liverpool... a club with an ego for the Champions League and a squad for mid-table mediocrity. Suarez understandably wants to jump ship. The poor guy is forced to play with Downing each week. Suarez tried to be nice about it, he tried to politely say he wanted to leave, but that can only go so far when you've got a desperate, failing club who don't respect the wishes of their players. Frankly, Liverpool should be grateful that Suarez stayed as long as he did. For a player of his quality to give a club like Liverpool two and a half years of his time, they should be kissing his boots and giving him their best wishes.

Comolli is perhaps the only impartial person in this debate, having been staff at both clubs. So I'm happy to see his sentiment echoes mine.

Aresnal's mentally unstable fans are so used to Arsene spreading his cheeks wide open and bending over for his players has made them think that standing up to payers like BR has done to Suarez is wrong. <laugh>

Alright then. <ok>

You wont be happy when Suarez is throwing his arms up at players for not passing, at refs for giving a decision against him and God knows what else (biting, arguing etc). Misplacing passes, having 6 attempts to score 1. He is a good player and is lethal in the box but I do honestly think we play better as a team without him

Also in a year, if he has a good season for you and madrid come sniffing he'll be gone

Stop crying and pay the money required if you want him

I don't have to like the guy to know he will help us win games. He just seems a bit immature to me. That might pass with age, or the guidance of a competent manager like Wenger. If it were Madrid that came knocking after 1 year with equal or more money, I wouldn't complain too much. Unlike Liverfail, we tend to sell our players for more than we bought them for.

Rodges is league one standard, face it, normal fans of a club would cringe every time he gets in front of a microphone, not Liverpool fans tho, they lap up his clown act.

Spends no money yet still finishes above you, that must really hurt you, with all the money you have spent. In fact your club is a classic example of why spending money does not always work

Liverpool: A glorious past, and a wonky future.
Arsenal: A good past, and an almost certain future.

Looking to the future and not the past, I know which club I'd rather be right now.
