Harold is rubbing Adels nose in it IMO

This player often gets picked in front of Adel for Morocco

    Could be better than Townsend

He scored 20 goals in 79 games for Heerenveen playing out wide

    Not a bad return

Raheem Sterling's form kept him out of the Liverpool team last year which is understandable, but I think this guy could win us some games this season.

Blackpool boss Paul Ince has denied reports suggesting that Queens Park Rangers have lodged a bid for highly-rated winger Matt Phillips. Speculation had suggested that QPR had put a £5million offer to their Championship rivals for Scotland international Phillips.

He looks interesting. Him, an on form Hoilett, Austin, Ned, Ale, Suk Young and any of the youngsters who get a game will be the players I'm interested in this season.

Dutch media confirm the transfer. I wrote a report on him last year when he joined Liverpool, here's a copy paste:
    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/162541-Oussama-Assaidi/page3?p=3304693#post3304693

Back to Assaidi. He played one full season for SC Heerenveen. He is/was one of the most creative and fastest wingers in the Eredivisie. At Heerenveen he played with Bas Dost(7,5 million pounds to VFL Wolfsburg) and Luciano Narsingh(2,5 million pounds to PSV Eindhoven). Dost was the top goal scorer of the 2011-2012 partially due to Assaidi. He is very creative on the left wing but can play on the right wing aswell. He was unstoppable during the winter months and Heerenveen managed to get to second place in the table of the Eredivisie and was even considered a title contender at one point.

Oussama Assaidi's speed and technique are his best traits but he can be a selfish player. He can set up an attack on his own with a single action but in his eagerness and selfish nature he wants to end the attack aswell with a long distance strike on target. When you've got Carroll and Suarez up front i won't be surprised if that results in friction between players. His crossing is decent, passing is great and his focus during the game is incredible. Constantly looking for errors and trying to intercept the ball is what characterized his playing style last season. He scored some goals from inaccurate back passes and sloppy defending. One on one with a keeper he scores 9 out of 10 times, he's not the guy with weak nerves. He is an excellent forward in counter attacks.

His composure is good, his work rate is great but his mentallity is disturbing. He has a bad temper and he can be provoked. Heerenveen had a good season and i he didn't show much of it, but it's a well known fact out here that when he hits a bad streak of games and is out of form, he can be unstable and unpredictable.

All in all i'd say you guys have bought a very good winger, as long as Rodgers can keep him in check. If he succeeds in that you can look forward to some great attacking football the coming season!

    End of copy paste.

Anyways, he didn't get a real chance after buying Borini and Coutinho so the bottom part didn't happen. But you still got a great winger coming in.

Thanks Cove. He sounds like a more energetic Taarabt, which would be good.

This could be interesting if it proceeds.....hopefully he's left footed so he can play on the left and move Hoilett over to the right......simples

Right footed, on the left he acts as a Robben type winger, coming inside to shoot on target or to create action for the striker.

Let''s hope he less 'mercurial' and more 'mucking in' with the team that Harry is building.

Assaidi set to seal QPR loan switch after Redknapp gives up on Phillips pursuit

QPR are signing Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi on loan for the season.

Manager Harry Redknapp had lined up a £4m deal for Blackpool's Matt Phillips but his broken arm means he will not be fit to play for two months and Redknapp is exploring other options.

Liverpool paid £2.4m for the Moroccan international last summer but the 24-year-old has failed to impress since signing from Heerenveen.

Wigan, meanwhile, hope to complete a £1.2million deal for Sunderland winger James McClean on Thursday.

The 24-year-old also had offers from QPR and Blackburn plus one from Russia. Sunderland, meanwhile, have told Crystal Palace they want £1m for midfielder David Vaughan, 30.
