http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/08/0...=feed&utm_campaign=Feed: Pinknews (Pink News) Brighton supporters club and every wannabe gay rights activist is winging because a few Brighton fans had nasty words thrown at them while heading home. When I was a kid I went to see Leeds away at the City Ground and some bitter Forest fan decided to shout 'We all hate Leeds scum' in my face as he walked past (I know big man eh...wouldn't do it now) but I didn't see my local hippy MP and Leeds Supporter Club asking the FA to take action for Leedsphobic abuse. If it was scousers i'm sure a minority of Leeds fans would off been shouting 'council rats' or the like instead of '***gots'. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against gay people (I supported them get the right to marriage) but I don't see why they get special protection or media coverage when they get abused but if it was liverpool/millwall/arsenal no one would blink an eye to a barrage of abuse against them. I don't condone the abuse of individuals out side of the ground (inside the ground well that's just football) but ignore or it or give the gobby bastard a thump weather he's shouting '***got' or 'council rat' or 'turkey' or 'munich'. Abuse is abuse and to single out select minority groups is just saying 'they're not mentally or physically strong enough to deal with abuse so they need special protection unlike the rest of society'. I don't know what she expects the football authorities to do especially as it happened outside of ER...they couldn't even punish Galatasaray for their fans stabbing 2 away fans to death so good luck punishing us for abit of abuse thrown around.
it's not even abuse at gay people, it is abuse at mostly straight people by insinuating they are gay. It's only offensive because people get insecure when you question their sexuality, none of the abuse implies that there's anything wrong with being gay, just that they are all gay. It's PC gone mad.
**** me Britains getting worse She needs a job She needs a trophy and i know where she should stick it
You can call me what you want mate, I couldn't give a ****, sticks and stones and all that, I aint gonna go crying to the pc brigade........ ****ing bunch of soft bastards. they're the reason this country is ****ed.
you cant insult the Blacks, the Browns, the Yellows, and now the ****ing pinks Just the greens and the blues left then
I'm pretty sure it's what started the violence at The Old White Hart. It's essentially them blaming us because their fans charged the pub and got their heads kicked in. Another club with violent hooligans that get treated as victims of "dirty Leeds" despite being just as bad if not worse, and starting the trouble in the first place. Same old story.
Publicity hoe Looks like the vote me the MP from the Irrelevant Green Party campaign has started again. Poor Ms. Lucas your party is less popular than UKIP.
They can hardly use that as an excuse, what where they doing that far away from Elland Road charging towards a pub of Leeds fans? did they hear the leeds fans chanting from a mile away at that pub so decided to wander up? lol
Fascinating - an article published the day before in the same paper http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/08/05/police-40-arrests-at-brighton-pride/ highlights that 40 people were arrested at Brighton Pride 2013, same number as last year. There were 25000 people there. The Police Chief of Sussex said: "“Given the sheer size of this operation, I would say that overall, the day was a huge success and the vast majority of attendees will have experienced a wonderful festive weekend and will take home some great memories of Pride 2013." Maybe, just maybe, Caroline Lucas could swap some words around: "Given the sheer size of crowd at this match, I would say that overall, the day was a huge success and the vast majority of attendees will have experienced a wonderful game and will take home some great memories of LUFC v Brighton" On the same page, another article is "Ed Miliband: ‘Brighton Pride is our opportunity to speak with one voice against homophobia’" - while next to it is an article that states "police launch drugs crack(sic!)down ahead of Brighton Pride" and "*****phile who worked as a drag queen jailed for 26 months". What all these articles show is that there are some ****ers about, but it doesn't mean you have to be stright to be a ****er, there's plenty of ****ers of every faith, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, and politician. Mountains and molehills come readily to mind, along with - just how many people were there, and do you have proof they were at the football match? I don't doubt they probably were, or might have been, but there is every chance they were just general ****ers around Leeds city centre. Does the fact there were probably only a handful of arrests at LUFC on Saturday with 34000 people there mean it was an unqualified success?
