    That sucks. It says that Luzern's offer was better because it was a loan with a view to a buy. Do they not know that a trial leads to an offer? Luzern aren't a great side, so it's a shame that we've lost out to them.

    Is our stature as a newly promoted side having any bearing on us getting Work Permits?

    Yes ENPPI knew it'd lead to an offer, if he impressed on trial, but even then the work permit issue would've been extremely difficult. No club in the UK are given preference when it comes to work permits, from what I understand at least.

    The other club is Swiss, so perhaps non-EU rules are more flexible here?

    Yes, as is in most European countries. UK the only country I've heard of where Egyptians really struggle to get visas, unless they're regular senior internationals
