3-0 far too easy for Watford. We carry no threat at all.

JJOT was a beast in midfield. So glad we signed him :emoticon-0115-inlov

Decent game, we played well for 15 mins in the first half before the goals and just before half time, and then a very good game in the second half! If we play like we did in the second half for a couple of games in the league, we will win more than we lose for sure. Don't feel so bad about the coming season again ;) talk about changing my mind all the time!!!

Baldee, me and seamge were stood in the corner that no one usually ever stands in, you know the one? lol :p next to the blackthorn basically

    We did indeed.

In fact, we didn't play all that badly apart from 15 mins in the 1st half when they scored three bloody goals! Second half we were the better team and created chances that weren't converted.

We desperately need a biggish striker/Harrold and Brunt to come back sharpish. Santos needs to start on Saturday - I like Clarkson, but right midfield is not the place to play him. Clarky did little apart from his shot in the first half which came back off the post. I hate to say it, but we need Gill back in central midfield with O'Toole. Gill's return should free up JJ's attacking instincts a bit more

Ref had a game of two halves - 1st half gave everything to them, 2nd half gave everything to us.

Watford looked good - sharp, quick, one-touch football and some penetrating running through the middle. Every time their midfield ran at us through the middle, we backed off and they got into danger areas. Every time we tried to do the same, they closed us down.

We need to win against Scunny on Saturday. The signs aren't too bad and I think we can get something - but we desperately need our crocked strikers back.

Talking of Brunt - how much are we paying him? In the car park is a brand new Jaguar F-Type S Convertible, reg plate 'Brunty'. That's £67,500 worth of very nice motor, not including the personalised reg plate...

Apart from giving away three really soft goals I thought the lads did pretty well tonight.

If we play like that on Saturday we'll be fine.

First two goals were very poor to concede. Second especially as noone got near their tallest player from a corner. Santos looks a good little player and Richards looked dangerous just needing better service from the wings. Play like you did in the second half against most teams and you'll win a lot of games this year. O'toole still looks quality too!

Agree with comments above. Very good performance in the second half.
Although he generally had a good game I thought Mildenhall might have
done better with the first two goals.

Pirate, not sure he could have done much about the second - the player was totally unmarked and just powered a header into the net. Don't think he could have done much about any of the goals in all fairness, as his defence basically left him to it. First goal was terrible by McChrystal, but i am willing to forget it as I know how good he can be from last season :) Second goal was a farce though and no one picked up their tallest player??? Why not?! Crazy <laugh>

As you say Chris, McChrystal mainly at fault for the first. For the second there was that split second when I thought
Mildenhall could have left his line and come and claimed/punched it. Granted though, he made some great saves later in the game.

Nah city fan mate! My girlfriends dad is a gashead though so go down to a fair few games with him every season! Think that when harrold or brunt are back it'll make a big difference as Richards can obviously finish well but hasn't got the presence to lead the line as well as those two can.
