Preview: The game will be played at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, home of the Tippeligaen League side, on Wednesday, August 7 with kick-off at 7pm CEST (6pm BST). Tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 6 at 9am CEST and can be purchased from www.billettservice.no. Billy Hogan, Chief Commercial Officer at Liverpool FC, said: "The Norwegian club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and wanted to secure landmark fixtures, which we are delighted to be part of. "We last played VÃ¥lerenga in 2011 and before that in 2008 so we are thrilled to be meeting them again this summer. "Liverpool FC has a large fan base in Norway and this fixture allows us to bring the club closer to those Norwegian fans that cannot make it to Anfield to see their team play." PÃ¥l Breen, CEO of VÃ¥lerenga, added: "We have established a very good connection with Liverpool FC over the years and are very happy to welcome them back to Oslo. "Liverpool is a huge club with a large following in Norway and this will be a large happening for those with both blue and red hearts." The Reds visited Oslo to play VÃ¥lerenga in August 2008 for a pre-season friendly and won 4-1. Match tomorrow. No Skrtel, Agger, Suarez (all of which have had transfer speculation recently) and Johnson. Means we should see quite a different defence lining up. Guessing probably be something like Kelly Wisdom Toure Enrique. Be good to see either Kelly or Wisdom playing CB to see how they get on. Hopefully they provide a bit more of a test than our previous friendlies (are they already part way through their season in which case they should have better fitness and provide a better test).
Sturridge also unlikely to make the bench against Valerenga, but might be available on the weekend Migs Kelly, Toure, Wisdom, Enrique Gerrard ,Lucas, Henderson Sterling, Aspas, Coutinho Would be what I'd like to see, but BR will play Allen over Hendo and may well play Borini up top ahead of Aspas to give him a proper run out.
