I do think we have to worry about Chelsea now, they're still in the market for a striker, maybe even Citeh, could see Dzeko heading the other way in a swap deal. Negredo and JOvetic will flop, they'll need a safe option to partner Aguero

Actually what this whole CL discussion has proved, is that the contract was purposefully made as vague as possible so that there would be the opportunity to back out in case Liverpool did not make the CL this season.

SO in other words, LIverpool have no faith in Brenda to take them forward, and have to insert BS clauses to keep their best players?

Seriously, Suarez is a grade A **** and if he and his camp had a leg to stand on we would be in arbitration already. He's not the type to ask 'nicely'. It's been 2 weeks now since the bid, he's got no more cards left to play, hence this interview

City wont come in for him as their owners are image conscious, hence the reason they sold balotelli. Lets not forget that it was a Chelsea player he bit, might not go down well.

I can't see City forking out an additional £40m on top of there current expenditure. Especially not on another striker.

Mourinho has got his heart set on Rooney and i think Chelsea are actually trying not to overspend and would prefer Rooney also because he will come cheaper i think. Also they have had there fair share of controversy and i think would prefer to go for other targets. If they didgo in for him it leaves the door openfor us to get Rooney so not the end of the world. But really i can't see City or Chelseagoing for him.

I think Suarez claiming he has the PFA's backing over Liverpool breaching his contract changes quite a lot actually.

    £40M+1

So it;s us, who can pay all the money straight up, or Real, who'll have to use instalments?

I can't see him staying at Liverpool, he's burning all his bridges now, i still don't see why the club are defending him, suppose it's the only way they're going to get big money for him.

Love how Suarez used the word 'amicable' in his interview. Definitely had Arsene in his ear for that one <laugh>

  12. Don't agree but we could be here week arguing the point <laugh>

PS...how much money do you get for a qualifier?

    #1992
  13. The PFA back every player in every player vs club argument, it means ****all <laugh>

IF Suarez, his agents and his lawyers really think they have a case, why has it not already gone to arbitration?

It would be pointless, because by definition the Champions League qualifier is part of the Champions League competition. <ok>

Suarez is a prisoner. Time for Arsene to set him free.

Because they are waiting for Liverpool to do the decent thing and honour his contract agreements.
If they don't they will take it to arbitration.

All this crap from Liverpool and trying to finish 4th, saying that it will put them in the Champions League, enabling them to compete again; to then have the nerve to not call Arsenal a Champions League team. Lulz. These hypocrites need to get off their high (and stolen) horse.

'The decent thing' and 'Suarez'. The decent thing was to stand by the **** when the whole world crashed down on him. Twice. Because of his indecency

  19. But it is a qualifier, if you win then you qualify for the....?

How much money do you get for a qualifier? You don't get CL level money. Do goals scored go towards the players when it comes to the leader charts?

As I said above, we could argue all week. the fact of the matter is, Arsenal WILL qualify anyway and my original point was me making a joke of a ****ty situation (for both clubs)

Yeah i think we are the only club who has the cash and wants to buy him. I don't think Madrid have ever been in for him and he even says "I was asked a question: 'Would I want to play for Madrid?' It's like anyone asked if they want to change jobs and move to a bigger company". There is no information that Madrid have ever had an interest in Suarez and it was Juventus who went in for him last year and they don't need a striker now.

I genuinely think none of the other big CL clubs are in a position to either afford him or currently have space for him in there squads. His interview also suggests he wants to stay in England which narrows it down a lot.
