Enjoy Sky Sports whilst you can folks, they will bankrupt in four years. BT is involved now and by the time the next bidding comes around they will all but finished their optical rollout ad that is when they will use their cash to buy all but one round of domestic packages, most don't realise that BT revenue for one month is about the same as BSkyB's for the entire year. The fact they paid just under £800M for 38 games was a show intention to BSkyB's owner, News Copr, who cannot realise the sort funds the BT Group can.

Essentially speaking, News Corp makes more money than the BT Group... but the BT Group has just four divisions to spread their revenues and News Corp. has over 100 divisions. Per division it is the BT Group massively comes out on top and thus for 2017 onwards Sky will have as little as 30 odd games to show, ask any Sky engineer and he/she will tell you the entire business relies on dominating the Premier League rights.

That's very unfair to sky customers paying for a sports package, perhaps somebody needs to take a look at that

You are more than welcome <cheers> it would provide some much needed support with all the gooners nearby! The dog watches all the Swans games with me so you will be fine - she has an amazing turn of speed and would do a good job coming on for the last 15 mins of a game

Its happened before with a free weekend sport with sky. I got rid of sky altogether last year for putting up prices for repeat after repeat and virgin and the others are a rip off also. I use Free view and get BT sports for free through my broadband. You can always find any football match and most sports on your computer without paying stupid prices to these companies.....

Same here Dai. The movie channels are a joke. Show the same crap every other day. I too have BT sports channels because of my broadband. Let's just hope they get some decent pundits on there <ok>

Lots of free streams have been closed down ahead of the new season, anyone know where to look yet?
The free sky game is a good idea imo, try to get people hooked into paying for the full subscription. I would only do that if I could choose to watch Swans games but I don't think you can (unless you're Danish!) ;)

i just stream games to one of my monitors, i have absolutely no moral issue with blatantly robbing from Murdoch/ESPN/BT. In my opinion its a ridiculous price and i'm underpaying to the same extent as they're trying to get me to overpay.

Unless i won the lottery i wouldn't pay for sky, get a cheap laptop with a HDMI port, run a cable to your flatscreen telly and run down the pub the once a season your internet isnt perfect.

I do totally understand the point PGF and others made though. Its well out of order to charge you for a service and give part of it away to others for free.

Personally i dont wait to be asked, i just take it :p

Well you all know my opinion on sky, and they have upped the prices again in the last few weeks, so they're due for the chop, as far as I'm concerned, and I'm with Pinball all the way, and if VRD is correct, then that's music to me ears!................<cheers>

ESPN is sh.it now, it's only got crappy American sports on it. Who in their right mind likes baseball, basketball and American football?

As for Sky well I don't worry to much about that, rather than give those robbing bastards my hard earned I give it to the Swans instead and go to the games, home and away.

Talking of which I'm sure you owe me a pint from the Man Utd game last season you tight bastard :D

those who pay for sky, virgin and the other smaller companies are mad, you are paying for rubbish you can find on the net, just hook up your laptop to your tv and get free view with top up if you want other channels....you total up what you pay these guys and its a small fortune and for what.....its repeats after repeats after repeats so once you have watched something you will be paying to watch something you have seen countless times. Its just one big rip off and they no longer get my money every month and i still get to watch what i want.....I have free view in every bedroom in the kitchen and the living room, i have even got one in my garage......no bills every month just my broadband.....
