Spurf is an international ladies man, looks like zorro and has women falling at his feet (or sword) so just like he can't keep it in his trousers, he can't help boasting!
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/06/gareth-bale-tottenham-real-madrid some quotes from director Keith mills, saying they can't force bale to say, preparing us for bales departure.
In the case of Chiriches, on the one hand his agent is sounding out a Serie A move (Milan and Roma being strongly linked) - although some movement is likely, given Steaua have paid half a million euros so they own 100% of his transfer rights which removes a chunk of hassle.
Might explain why Hiddink buggered off. Eto'o, Willian and Diarra, please. Our squad needs a bit of depth...
True but was just reading his quotes and I'm sure they believe bale wants to go so are preparing themselves if Madrid come to us with a real offer.
I haven't found out why yet, but it seems like it could be unrest between players as they have had a poor start to the season, and/or the owner getting bored and pulling out. even if they all come at a car boot sale bargain, we still can't afford them! wages!
Haven't you heard of the 69 formation? No, I think it means players like Blind and Oldeworlde ( my spelling) But I wouldn't get involved in guessing games on principle -I HATE CRYPTIC ITK - there I said it
Interesting stuff re. Anzhi - out of their squad Willian would be the only one to possibly interest me and he hasn't set the world alight tbh. Personally, I think we'll get a new CB and then we'll be done on the players into the club (if Bale stays). I don't think it's a great policy to buy half a team's worth of first team players and completely overhaul the squad. If Bale goes we may well have to though. Gossip I forgot about on the big post I put at the end of p232. Coentrao - reported to really want to come to us. Valued at £20m though which seems a bit much. I guess that would be £8m to us with the outstanding Modric money written off in the process. Eriksen - could well be part of this double Dutch cryptic message posted elsewhere earlier today (Alderweireld reported to be the other part of the double, with the Dutch part referring to Ajax).
Hi Moorpheus Cheers for info Re Vlad, it can be that them winning is bad for us- as IIRC they now need to win a play off to get into group stages RE Oldeworlde, that's one of the 'Double Dutch' I believe - he plays for Ajax I think It's also rumoured that we've looked before and weren't impressed. (according to our friend ITK) re Hudd, but he's CB cover isn't he I think Hudd should leave the club - it's best for all- to me he's not a quality Prem player Apparently he has injury problems when it comes to medicals, or so some ITKs say Jake as CB - well he won't cost much I like him as he's a true Spur, maybe he can convert - he has more chance than Hudd IMO as he's faster, has a better tackle (oo er missus) and is probably better in the air
Lol u left us hanging with that post didnt you? "I've got gossip, but I'm buggering off for a couple of hours" I don't reckon we're anywhere near done yet. Having sold Dempsey and caulker, there'll be more than 1 coming in IMO. Both of those two were far closer to being "first teamers" than a lot of the dead wood we still have. Therefore, they need replacing. Hadn't seen the double Dutch stuff - would make sense regarding CE and TA. Exciting times if true. Edit: my bad. I completely missed your update at the bottom of the previous page
Don't blame me if you don't read every post I write I would freakin love it if we got Bernard - I know YT clips are always the best bits but damn.
If Coentrao actually wants to join Spurs, then I would love to see him join, going on reports it seems he would be a lot better than Rose or BAE, though I haven't seen him play myself. If all we do is get one CB in this window re the defence, then I think we can kiss CL goodbye here and now. We need at least 2 and preferably three defenders in.
Apparently BAE can leave if we get a suitable offer. In which case Coentrao makes sense and he'd be an improvement. Given that this is pretty much our best window for years (the Caulker sale aside), I'll be annoyed if our best player ups sticks and leaves. Hopefully he's considering the fact that we're pushing the boat out financially in whatever decision he makes.
