He played out of position and looked a bit lost on the wing but scored a tidy goal. I think he lacks the pace to be a top class striker. Maybe he could be an RVP type striker but I think he also lacks the finesse that RVP has. Carrick was immaculate. I just don't get why anyone wouldn't rate him, he's by far and away the best English CM around at the minute and has been for a couple of seasons. Anderson played the whole game, as he has done in most pre-season games, so I assume Moyes is trying to get him fit and make the most of his talent. He played well and worked hard (he was even nicking the ball in the last couple of minutes) but his assist pass still needs honing. He's one of the most frustrating players I've seen play for United, so much unfulfilled potential. Bebe came on at the end to remind us all that Ralph Milne and the Djemba twins weren't Fergie's worst signings.
To be honest i thought Bebe managed to put some really good crosses in, his first touch is still poor but his pace and power are good, not too bad to have as a squad player now. Anderson had a good game, Nani looked like he might be trying to prove his worth to the new manager, hope the injury is only a slight pull. I was pleased with Henriquez, he looked very sharp and was unlucky not to have had another goal.
Bebe put in one decent cross, possibly two but I'd wager the second was a flyer. After that he barely managed to get a cross off the ground. He is Fergie's comedy signing. It's no disgrace, Dalglish had 3 of them in one summer at multiple times the cost!
Bebe needs to stay just for the comedy. I am glad Henriquez is being given a run, wondered if we could gain by loaning him to Real Zaragossa who we turned down. Is Nani really injured or just being protected for his good form? It's a good thing that Anderson is getting stronger and fitter but we still lack a holding midfield to support Carrick ( Carrick is magnificent but he finds himself in a 2 man midfield facing 3 opposition midfielders) If we do not sign anyone, may the youth get some blending opportunities and come back stronger next year. Remember no MUFC boss has won anything in their first season. As long as Moyes gets us Champions League for next year at worst, I'd call it a passable first year.
No one is going to buy Bebe from us, the best we can do is have him train with the first team and hope he improves enough where someone will actually want to buy him. It's a shame to be honest. He has so much raw potential that he most likely won't ever come close to fulfilling because of his unfortunate upbringing.
