I disagree Drogs. Would the synthetics have supported Bolton or Wigan if their dad had? No. the dad thing is an excuse for being a glory hunter and johnny come lately. If you liked football as a kid you would go to your local team cos you would want to hang out with mates (unlike plastics who follow teams on telly). You would not pick united and Miss out on all the fun of matchday as a teenager.

Plastics in West London supported Liverpool etc when I grew up as they were not match going fans.

Match going supporters went to Rangers Chelsea Fulham Bees. The plastics who ended up following amd actually going to Pool matches when they were older, were not into football properly until later years. They just followed United and pool on the radio.

I was born and schooled in Hammersmith. Chelsea were my local club (just) and I still live local now.

My part of Hammersmith was Chelsea but my school was more QPR.

Were you born at Queen charlotte's drogs??

So you think that all those Chelsea fans who bypassed QPR, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Leyton Orient, Charlton, Fulham etc on their way to choosing Chelsea are glory hunters? That should make you popular on your board!

Kind of ****s up Drogs's assertion that the Custardman is a plastic. He's just said he was born in 1970 and as you've just pointed out people of his era who are gloryhunters followed Liverpool. If Custard is a gloryhunter then he's a crap one as he picked United during the 70's!

I find it odd that any fan feels the need to "prove" that they are the "better" fan. Must be riddled with insecurities.

I don't know, some parents drill their teams into their kids. My Dad never to me, but he always said its best to support your local team, and I will to my son if I end up having one. I just loved going to the football with him and my older brother and that's what glory hunters will have missed out on.

No I was born at Charing Cross.

Unless they started supporting us in 2003, then no. United are a club who have been successful throughout the majority of their existence, it's a different situation IMO.

Surely someone born in 1970 with glory hunting tendencies would have chosen one of several other clubs over United? Teams that won leagues and European Cups.

Basically you're (badly) pulling together criteria to suit you and not to offend all the Chelsea fans who have done pretty much exactly what you're accusing fans of other clubs of doing.

I shagged a nurse in Charing Cross hospital. She was off duty and we were in the staff quarters but it still counts.

Why is Charing Cross hospital in Hammersmith?

Not really. Gloryhunters chose Liverpool obviously, but United, Forest and other successful clubs too. Hard for a synthetic to understand football pre Sky.

But United did win things before 1992 and despite Liverpool's dominance from 76, United were still the biggest club in England. And they won things too: preventing the Dippers treble in 77.

They were also European champions and had thousands of Best gloryhunters and teeny boppers following them in the 60s and 70s. That does not stop overnight because of one relegation.

10 years in and out of Div 2, eg Chelsea, is the best way to stop gloryhunters following you.

I've heard some sad excuses for being a glory hunter in my time but daddy bringing home a United programme takes the biscuit.

Being taken to the stadium and falling in love with old Trafford maybe.

You were an impressionable little Midlander weren't you.

You obviously weren't so taken with your brother's Walsall programmes or mum's knitting magazines

Err, United had won leagues and had a European Cup. Point has clearly gone straight over your head, it's not suiting Chelsea fans at all, we weren't a club glittered with titles like United so somebody supporting Chelsea before Roman could not possibly be labeled a glory hunter.

As for the last part, what?

Ignorance Drogs. He can barely make it to Manchester to follow his team, let alone London.

So he thinks Charing Cross Hospital should be in the West End like the train station.

So his lie about shagging a nurse in Charing Cross hospital in staff quarters does not add up either. He did not even know Charing Cross hospital was in Hammersmith. Well and truly rumbled

Although you took the time to answer the question why Charing Cross hospital is in Hammersmith. You are absolutely hopeless at this stuff, possibly because you move from board to board engaging in spats and forget what you've posted.

Surely glory hunters are after current glory not past glory so why would a kid of the 70's pick United for glory hunting purposes? Not logical Drogs, no surprise there though!

Nope. Answered it at 323pm following your 314 post.

'Charing cross has a w6, Hammersmith, postcode'

I live in Oxford gardens now. And guess what, lover boy, it is not in Oxford. It is in west London.
    Amazing!!

Anyway back to the imaginary nurse you shagged in Charing Cross? Or Was that in the West end? Or was it hammersmith? or was it lies?

You are taking a while to answer. Where did you shag her?

I am amazed that you shagged a nurse in hospital quarters and boast about it online but have no idea where charing cross hospital is located
