In all seriousness, the Amish girls and boys I met were really down to earth and whilst their culture shuns modern living, some of the younger ones use computers, have ipods etc. They are pretty switched on to what's happening in the modern world and in some ways their simple lifestyle is quite enviable, if a little dogmatic in its religious values.
I was almost ROFL-ing when I saw the Amish equivalent of "Pimp my Ride" in that show. A horse and cart with neon lights, a sound system and a fake number plate! Absolutely amazing!
NBC are doing a poll to see which prem team american fans will support. here's the latest stats please log in to view this image
Who are the other 47% supporting? There are at least 6 teams missing. Man C, Chelsea and who else? I did try and Google, but all I found out is that NBC have the TV rights for the next three years. That's good news for us illegal stream watchers.
Probably down to: A - Bale B - The marketing being done around Bale C - That NBC thing on the 'Adios AVB' thread.
D - the fact that we've already familiarised ourselves with the Americans in the past, by signing Demspey and Friedel
Dempsey's been the biggest reason for our upsurge in American support, in my opinion. Bale will have had an influence, but not as much as having the 2nd highest scorer for their national team, who's captained them recently and was their highest profile overseas player. Expect Sunderland to start picking up fans from the States if Altidore does well for them.
Rafa's posting pics of his new missus... please log in to view this image She's the one in the middle, right?
Is that Khalid Boulahrouz's ex? Dumped on his arse by Keane and then dumped for van der Vaart. He must bloody hate us!
hang on, what? Rafa and silvie are no more? I thought he smacker her one and then then sorted things out? and i thought that Silvie and Mrs Bhoularouz were mates? Awks. on the bright side, Silvie's single. - I'm in.
If you want to read something really awkward, then check out Mrs van der Vaart's Twitter page, which hasn't been updated this year...
